Lol, just clip after clip of guys I wanted at 31 breaking down the defense and throwing perfect lobs. Thank goodness Grayson and Mamu looked good.

That's a who's who list of bad MLE contracts over the years.

Noticed that too. I haven't watched the Lakers much over the last year but seemingly every time I watch them play AD is grimacing for some reason. He's one of my least favorite players to watch. A 6'10 guy shooting floaters and trying to draw fouls every offensive possession and his antics "earn" him a bunch of calls.

Yeah, it's somewhat karmic justice that AD always seems hurt given his play style and the way he sells contact. I've never seen a 6'10, 250 lb dude who ends up on the floor as much as he does.

That’s wild.

I had such high hopes for CDR, but can’t remember why.

That Kidd quote is amazing ^^^^

He's still living the Knicks-Heat series of the mid-1990's. "Toss it into Zo in the post!"

ETA: Then again, maybe he forces Kristaps into becoming a man. Or he breaks him. Forcing an outcome there (either way) would be good for the Mavs.

An early exit, says the guy who has never been the head coach of a team that got past the second round…

If he breaks him, that trade value plummets further. And he will break him based on the Sanders stories.

Right now Kristaps value is super low. Part him, part his contract. He's owed about $100mm over the next three years.

If I had to guess, part of the reason Kidd was hired was to figure out what they've got there. Good or bad.

Jason Kidd innovating with the all dunk offense.

This 100%. Dude falls down like 10 times a game.

Our options were so limited. I'm sure that had something to do with it.

Just remembering random things based on these queues and putting them together, but:

Jason Kidd tried to trade Lopez for Larry when he was in Brooklyn.
He then came to Milwaukee because of Jabari, Larry, and Lasry, and destroyed Jabari and Larry.
We fire Kidd and sign Lopez that following offseason.
We become the best team in the league IMMEDIATELY.

So is Kidd like a reverse Midas, who turns everything to ****? Or is a human fire who burns through all the dead wood and leaves fertile devastation in his path? There is SOMETHING to be said (I'm not 100% sure what that something is) about the fact that we didn't need to undo a bunch of Kidd **** to be great under Bud, because he burned everything down himself before he left.
