Congratulations! I think Ben could learn something here about being committed ;)

Anyway:

Rockets: Ben Simmons
Us: Gordon, Theis, Christopher, 1st rnd (protected to 10)

Hawks: Ben
Us: Taxi Driver Rooster, Dieng, Reddish, 1st round pick

DGAF. Ben is gone I’m waiting like a kid on his birthday anticipating whether the present is sh*thouse or not lmao

Rockets shouldn't even waste their time with us. They have the blueprint to dominate the league in a year or two:

PG- Christopher
SG- Porter
SF- Green
PF- Wood or Garuba
C - Sengun

The backcourt is stacked (at least 2 of the three will pan out) and if the big men don't pan out, Wall's contract is off the books by then. They'll have cap flexibility to land a big fish.

I don't see any need to add a PF who thinks he's a PG.

I'd love to get a deal done with OKC. They have tons of young, good players. Get Shai and call it a day, or a combination of some young players (only preseason but Josh Giddey looks good) and picks, or blow open their draft war chest and use them towards Lillard maybe.
Truth is on the side of the oppressed.

Philly.com says he just listed his house in/at "The Residences at The Ritz Carlton Philadelphia" - I confess, I didn't know what that is, it looks pretty sweet. And he wants a lot more money than what he paid a few years ago. It also says "Sources say he is considering selling his other house in Moorestown" and he would want nearly double what he paid.

I am a little weird- my Dad grew up *never living in anything but a brand new place* ... His parents bought and/or built new houses when he was growing up... when he went to college, they had just opened brand new dorms. When he got his job out of college, he got a brand-new apartment. When he got married to my Mom, they built a house. From the on, he either built or bought a brand new place. Weird, I guess that's not something that's all that common in life. I say this because I guess it rubbed off on me ... if I hit the $100+ million big time lottery, I would not be the type of person who wants to star-hump ... "Oh I'm buying Bon Jovi or Bruce Springsteen's house and some movie-star's beach house!" - I'd build my own. But I can see how and why people do want to buy a celebrities place. No problem there.... people buy other people's houses etc. all the time. BUT... I just don't see too many rich people in Philly wanting to help Ben Simmons out by paying him big bucks over market prices so he can be like "I TOLD you I'm never playing for you again, LOOK, I sold my houses!!!"

I like to try to analyze stuff as academically and dispassionately as possible... I would sure be fascinated to get a fly-on-the-wall account of everything Simmons, Lebron, Paul, etc. are saying back and forth. They only have so much Earth they can scorch ... and I just have a feeling he's not going to be happy where he ends up... I guess if it was SAC, he would be able to make the argument it's "close enough" to his Kardashians in LA. But I don't think he's going to enjoy freezing his expensive accoutrements off in Minnesota or how crazy that Cleveland nightlife and culture can be! or even San Antonio ... (Although I suspect Popovich would baby him and do anything for him.)

The Ritz Carlton residence is market value, its an asking price that can be negotiated.
Next you guys are going to stalk and throw rock's at whoever buy's it - just because they are Traitors to Philly. :banghead:
I wonder how you guy's are going to handle it when Ben shows up to start collecting his cheques.
Maybe blame Morey for dragging him back, nah that wont happen it will always be Ben's fault.

Well if he shows up to start collecting his checks, he has to play, no? That is fine with me, I never wanted him to leave in the first place. And that's for the lesson on "asking price", I had no idea that that type of thing existed, brilliant little piece of information that will make a big difference in my life. If you have any other business lessons, please provide them.

Hey, I think I’m liking the latest rumbling about LaVert AND Brogdon. Both are prone to be dinged, but there’s two of them, and both are solid guards. Honestly, this may be a great situation for Ben as well, though I’m sure he’ll hate not going to some Blingtown. Good organization who could do a good job building around him, if this summer’s clear message from just about everybody finally convinces him to take responsibility to develop on his incredible potential.

Maxey/Curry/Milton
SGA/Korkmaz/Springer
Green/Thybulle/Joe
Harris/Niang/Reed
Embiid/Drummond/Bassey

Not better than Milwaukee, Brooklyn, or LAL but maybe in 1-2 years?

Anthony Edwards would be a real good start to getting SGA IMO. And that would be the #1 scenario to hope for.

Then we can all move on to the Tobias issue.

Who says no?

Assumptions... 1) Lillard isn't leaving Portland. 2) Simmons doesn't want to go to Washington. Despite him not having said so, I'm having trouble seeing him stay there. 3) Minny is the preferred destination for Simmons.

Philly - get lots of pieces to use or trade for Beal. Brunson is a Philly guy.
In: Sato, Brunson, Beasley, T Prince, 1x Dallas FRP, 2x Minny FRPs... or Beal, Brunson.
Out: Simmons, Springer, Reed

Minnesota - get Simmons.
In: Simmons, Springer
Out: Beasley, McDaniels, T Prince, 2 unprotected FRPs

Pelicans - get the floor-spacing Center they need alongside Zion.
In: Porzingis, Reed
Out: Jonas, Satoransky, Tre Murphy

Dallas - get improved defense and young prospects on Luka's timeline.
In: Jonas, McDaniels, Tre Murphy
Out: Porzingis, 1 unprotected FRP

If Beal is open to leaving Washington...

Wizards - gets 3 or more FRPs while providing a reasonable viewing product to their fans.
In: Beasley, Sato, Prince, 1x Dallas FRP, 2x Minny FRP... perhaps, a 76ers FRP, if needed
Out: Beal

Philly: Maxey/Brunson, Beal/Curry/Korkmaz, Green/Thybulle, Tobias/Prince, Embiid/Drummond.
Minnesota: PatBev/Springer, D'lo/Nowell, Edwards/Okogie, Simmons/Vanderbilt, KAT/Naz.
Pelicans: Graham/Kira, NAW/Hart, Ingram/Naji, Zion/Reed, Porzingis/Hayes.
Dallas: Luka/Dragic, THJ/Bullock, DFS/Murphy, McDaniels/Kleber, Jonas/WCS.
Wizards: Dinwiddie/Sato, Beasley/KCP/Kispert, Kuzma/Avdija/Bertans, Rui/Harrell/Prince, Gafford/Bryant.

I'm pretty much in agreement with this. I kinda think 90% of this is Rich Pauls doing, with him having told Ben from the jump don't sweat this, you're not going to lose a dime in this process... and now here he is with an ongoing "how much money has Ben Simmons lost" tracker embarrassing him even further. I just think it's pretty coincidental we get that Nerlens story about how bad RP f'd him and now he's in the process of doing it again to another client... If Ben axes RP and comes back, apologizes for the distract, accepts blame for the Hawks series and vows to get better, he's all good with me.

Hey Suns fan coming here in peace with a question: what's the covid laws in PA? Hypothetically if Kyrie doesn't budge on this a Simmons for Kyrie would work well on paper. If he's allowed to play w/o getting the shot in PA, that would mean an extra 15M a year that he isn't docked. That means you're probably getting motivated Kyrie.

BK would need Harden/KD to sign off on it but if the choice is 81 games of Ben or 40ish games of Kyrie, I think they take Simmons.

Philly might need to send back a modicum more value, but this looks good for both

Would be tough for Morey to do this, but external factors might be pressing him to get something done.

I like the optionality of either of their contracts to become part of a big package. 2 years and 20 mil per is a good base to add Maxey, Thybulle, and picks to to get someone that comes available

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
