I know we usually have one of these. Rookie class has already been fun in preseason.

Bouk won't get the minutes for ROY as a 6th man but he is a smooth controlled scorer with some passing ability, got 20 points out of nowhere in 20 minutes

I don't support domestic violence. Thanks Miles

It's Green's to lose, IMO. Cade a close second.

Thanks for putting my boy Trey in there, hes been lights out in these 2 preseason games!

He won't win ROY because he's coming off the bench but the best rookie will be Davion Mitchell.

I voted Barnes, Green, Cade. I'm sure someone will have made a 2021 re-draft thread by the end of pre season.

Trey Murphy has been lights out so far. I doubt he gets as big of a role but he's poised to have a great career as a 3 and D player. Wanted the Lakers to draft him.

He has definitely been impressive. Reminded me in college a lot of Marvin Williams, who is one of my favorite Jazz role players ever. He has been fun in Summer League, hoping he can keep it up.

I think Giddey is a good bet for ROY because his odds are low and he has a real shot at winning it. Will put some money on him.

I chose Giddey, Sengun and Cade

2021-2022 Rookie Watch

Post#12 » by Bruin » Thu Oct 7, 2021 5:12 pm

We had a thread similar to this last season and I thought it would be useful to have a general thread to keep track of rookie performances throughout the season

So far we've had several rookies with some very nice performances and showing flashes of potential

Good idea. Granted it's only one game, but Josh Giddey in OKC looks great. So does James Boughknight in Charlotte. Damion Mitchell was impressive last night with Sacramento. Trey Murphy with the Pelicans looks like a sniper. Jared Butler out in Utah looking good, together with Brandon Boston Jr. in Clippers land.

Lots of exciting talent coming in this year

I really wanted the Raptors to trade for a mid 1st rounder to get Murphy. Really liked him. NOLA got a good one. Kinda puts pressure on Memphis for making that trade. For their sake, gotta hope that Ziaire becomes a star

Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

Murphy is exciting. Looks like a guy who will be a major threat from 3 from day 1. Will take him over Kispert any day.

I think Barnes will be better than Suggs because Toronto has a better base team around him(ex. Siakam level player on Toronto), thus better players to learn and practice against. Just like how Siakam was a nobody relative to his draft mates until he got to practice with the best defenders from the 2011-2015 Western Conference

I believe the same will happen to Cade in that he has the most skills coming into the league but a prospect going to a better team or organization(Houston, SAS?) might surpass him when the draft class gets more mature.
East #1 Draft Picks: Fultz, Banchero, Wiggins, Cuninigham
West #1 Draft Picks: Edwards, WIlliamson, Ayton, Towns
