Loved season 1 but delay in getting season 2 on Netflix derailed me. May have to start over some day when I have time.

Now the whole world has caught on and Squid Games is #1 Netflix show ever in 90 countries. Looking for more of same I watched Alice in Borderland which was okay.

Kingdom on the other hand….freaking awesome. It’s like Game of Thrones, Walking Dead and a Kirasawa samarai movie rolled into one but condensed into only 6 episodes per season.

Lupin is another great international Netflix show. Episode 1 is like a 45 minute stand alone movie meaning you can stop there without committing to a whole series.

If you have Hulu it’s current on there.

I haven't watched Squid Games yet, but I've watched a lot of Korean dramas over the last half year. Kingdom is what kicked off my K-drama watching spree. I'm not sure if my viewing habits are trustworthy for others, but there are very few shows (from anywhere) that I have enjoyed more than Kingdom.

Any Marvel fans here been watching What If...? It's CRAZY. Some of the plot lines are just absolutely ridiculous. The animation allows them to go really dark at some points too. Love it. Feige can do not wrong.

I am not a Beatles fan specifically (I like plenty of their songs), but this looks pretty good. Looking forward to seeing it when it comes out.

It would appear that the failure of Mortal Engines (which I quite liked) has sent Peter Jackson in a different direction perhaps? First They Shall Not Grow Old, and now this.

Thoughts on Chappelle's latest special? I thought it was hilarious. Other people .... not so much.

I though it was ok, but pretty much the same as most of his recent specials for me:

- I didn't really laugh out loud at anything in the whole thing, even though I could at least appreciate some of the jokes.
- Even though he is too smart for this, a lot of jokes that seem largely there just to be offensive.
- But then there are numerous razor sharp social commentaries, which is what his true strength is these days. The Caitlin Jenner comment was pretty on the money.

He has been very hit and miss in this recent Netflix era of his career in my opinion. Some of it is fantastic (but again, that is largely the social commentary stuff), but a lot of it is pretty forgettable.

I also watched some of Chapelle's Show when it got released on Netflix earlier this year, largely for the first time in the almost 20 years since it first came out. I absolutely loved that show at the time, but what I found this time was it was largely a lot of garbage interspersed with moments of pure brilliance. Things like the Racial Draft, the Black White Supremacist, the Effect of Music with John Mayer, the Player Haters Ball, True Stories with Charlie Murphy, were still great to watch, but a lot of the other stuff was pretty ordinary with a lot of filler.

It doesn't come out in Australia for like another month which I am bit annoyed about. From what I understand, the sequel is no guarantee to be made unfortunately.

It just got greenlit earlier today. Theaters-only release set in October 2023.

People are already doing memes for the sequel title lol.

Liked it, didn't love it. Jason Momoa and Timothée Chalamet seemed miscast. But it's better than the 1984 version.
