Giles has done nothing wrong but Hartenstein has this locked up. He’s doing a little of everything.

Mann rolled his ankle. Hope he’s ok.

Giles can fight back in these with more physical defense and a jumper

Really like what Coach Lue has done with Kennard's role, demanding offensive aggression out of him.

Justise - TMann - Luke and Batum is a real interesting bench core

If we can get good scoring out of TMann, it's a terrific bench four--spreads the court, doesn't make too many mistakes with ball, better than average defensively. You get 40+ ppg out of those four and it's icing on the cake.

Yea, getting Kennard off DHO's and in the action off screen plays with the green light to shoot has looked great, that's how to maximize his usefulness on the floor. He just has to keep the aggression going.

Don't feel like starting a new thread but it looks like Blake and the Clipps could be on speaking terms again someday soon

LOL

They used each other and now they will again. Blake smells the end of his career is near. Ballmer compared him to Martin Luther King and declared him a Clipper for Life then traded him 4 months later. :rofl2: Even Donald Sterling never pulled such a cheap stunt.

But Blake's post-NBA cred in Hollywood and elsewhere is as The Greatest Clipper of All Time. And Ballmer will play along. Hey, it's a business.

Man, I'd still love to see Blake come back eventually. It's great to see that the relationship between him and the organization is mending. Like it or not, he's still by far the most important player in the history of the franchise, and it's never good for a team to have a strained relationship with someone like that.

I also can't help but wonder if he's having some regrets about joining that dysfunctional mess in Brooklyn and is waxing nostalgic as a result.

I don't think the mending is in full force yet. There is still a bit of resentment on Griffin's part towards the Clippers for trading him from under the table, even though Clippers didn't want to do it because they loved him too much (remember, this was a Jerry West move). The only way the mending will come full circle is if Clippers face Griffin's team in a playoff series, and defeat him or be defeated by him. This was the exact thing that happened last season: Chris Paul asked out because Clippers were more concerned of their relevancy than being competitive. It took him defeating his former team in a playoff series for those bad feelings to go away, and now Paul has closure. Griffin would need the same thing: draw Clippers in playoffs and defeat them.

...

On a non-related tangent but appropriate to the board, I will have dibs to the first game of the season, doubling as a season preview post.
