Can't risk our star player getting injured before the playoffs IMO.

I think we might have gotten a steal with Mamu.

Call me a wet blanket but I’m legitimately pissed at watching them flitter this away after playing great most of the game by going stagnant, away from the movement, high energy offense that got them the lead.

I "and 1" both of you but I also have to add the only reason this game was close was because Kyrie was out.

So close. So close. My favorite so far, though.

I just think Mamu is a little more mobile than that version of Diaw. So maybe even a younger Diaw is a good comp?

I don't really remember Suns Diaw but I think that's right. The passing and surprising athleticism at his size is reminiscent though. I loved Diaw off the bench on those great spurs teams.

Game shows these guys just don't have what it takes to get it done against the Nets and I'm pessimistic about the postseason.

I still think he reminds me of a young Brad Miller.

In a game that included Kevin Durant and James Harden, Jordan Nwora was easily the best player on the floor.

It would be pretty exciting if just one of these young guys can crack our rotation this year. That would be pretty huge and we'd be pretty set.

They were playing up to KD & Harden, playing down to the other dudes. Don't sweat it.

Elijah Bryant was pretty good in the 2nd half, although I still don’t think he should make the team.
still learning the game

How funny would it be if Irving retired and Harden fell off?

Bucks win that if Cam Thomas has longer toes so we’re really the true preseason champions.

Donte won't be ready to start the season, so Nwora is definitely in the rotation.

Thank you for providing me an excuse to post this rookie Diaw story.

The story, according to ESPN's Marc Stein:

"Boris walks into the gym one day wearing flip-flops and holding his customary cappuccino, which was a staple for him every morning," former Suns assistant general manager David Griffin recalled. "It was during pre-draft workouts, so he sees the Vertec (machine) and asks what it is.

"We tell him it measures your vertical leap by determining how many of the bars you can touch. He asks what's the highest anyone has ever gone, and we tell him Amar'e (Stoudemire) cleared the entire rack.

"Boris puts down the cappuccino, takes off his flip-flops, and clears the entire rack on the first try. Then he calmly puts his flip-flops back on, picks up his cappuccino, and walks away, saying, 'That was not difficult.'"
