Simmons is a unique player, but he's also a very good one. He fits as poorly in Dallas as probably anywhere considering the Mavs franchise player is as ball-dominant as they come and isn't a great shooter to move off-ball some, but if his price is really as low as most people on this board think, Dallas better be doing everything they can to be a bidder.

This is why I still come back to a Portland and 76'rs deal centered around a McCollum for Simmons swap. I don't see another player that would be available that they will be able to get back that maximizes Embiid as much as CJ would.

IF SAC would cave and offer Fox, that would be the best option for the 76'rs... but I don't think they will do it.

The fact that a deal hasn't been made may mean that McCollum isn't available either.

It's possible, or Morey is still trying to get CJ + Multiple picks or parts (Like RoCo)... Indiana made a roster spot move today, which was... interesting.. Maybe they have cracked the nut since they were the rumored "stealth" team.

Indy simply got in the deals that happened today and cleared necessary space under the luxury tax. Sure, it opened a roster spot, but had to be done whenever available, and it was available now. We might be a 3rd team in something eventually, but I wouldn't look at this necessary tax saving move as a harbinger toward it in any way.

Hey after no home court at all last year Toronto had an advantage coming. 8-)

Also worth noting LA is putting in some serious restrictions that might be impacting teh NBA though I haven't looked at specific reporting on that.

Last I checked, 93% of players were vaccinated and its only rising as days go by. I dont see the Canada restrictions as coming to adavtange.

Most prominent players to have been reported are Kyrie, Beal and Isaac. All others im assuming are 3rd stringers

According to the court documents, several of the fake invoices and medical necessity forms stood out because, “they are not on letterhead, they contain unusual formatting, they have grammatical errors” and were sent on the same dates from different offices.

In another example, Manhattan U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss told a news conference, defendant Gregory Smith submitted paperwork for a root canal in Beverly Hills, when he was in fact playing basketball in Taiwan at that time. Others submitted false root canal paperwork as well, she added.

I think NBA players are getting smarter. Looking at that list of names and I can't imagine any of today's players being caught up in that stuff.

If they were even remotely less sloppy, this would have been WAY more difficult to crack. I won't be surprised if it comes out that they forged signatures with crayons.

Fundamentally I don't think most people care, some do, most don't. It is an individual decision, best left there.. Lots if people only getting a vaccine because of external pressures or desire to avoid conflict. Again, some just don't care and the actions in perpetuity are only strengthening their resolve. Nothing surprising.

Yeah if they just tried to hide it in any individual way like if they just did one thing they would probably have been fine.

What connects these players? Do they have the same agent or something?
