The Ben Simmons thread is locked!
Does this mean we're allowed to make separate threads for him in the Trades section?

Nope. It means it reached 99 pages at which point site administrators ask us to lock threads.

Discussion has been of dubious to worse quality for some time now, so no real point in starting another one until we have some new real development. Everyone interested in talking about Simmons trades has had ample opportunity to do so. Let's all enjoy a break for a while.

Explore some different ideas for awhile.

Perfect example of why we don't need another thread at this time. Nothing is gained by attacking another fanbase like this. Please refrain from these sorts of posts in the future.

Imagine looking for a decent return for your 25 year old All-Star with four years of team control left on his contract. Not sure what is wrong with those delusional people. Realistically, they should be looking for the fourth or fifth best player and maybe couple of pick swaps from a perennial lottery term.

“A decent return” is a far cry from asking for guys who have more value in return for a disgruntled, thrown under the bus, asking for a trade, holding out player on a 4-year max who can’t shoot.

If KAT were in the same position as Simmons (thrown under the bus, pissed, holding out, asking for a trade), would you expect the 6ers to offer Embiid (ignore the personal conflicts and positional issues, this is more an example of value) or something closer to Thybulle and some picks?

I mean, think critically here.

You ignore the actual argument and the fact that salary filler can be included in a deal?

So you accept I’m right then?

Or do you feel that since guys like Edwards don’t make what Simmons does they can’t be traded for each other? Regardless you end up at the same place.
