Loving the WCJ experiment at PF. If John Collins can play PF in the modern NBA, I don’t see why WCJ can’t.

If Franz and Suggs don't pan out the magic truly have an issue assessing star potential. The magic may have passed on some good players for these two.

I agree with this but for it to really work the magic really need some shot creators and shot makers on the perimeter which the magic seem to be missing badly.

Fun first half despite the poor shooting. Pretty amusing to hear WCJ tell the guys to take open shots instead of overcomplicating things.

We need Okeke playing alongside Suggs. The ball movement is awful right now. Suggs doesn't get the ball back after he passes it off.

It's going to be situational. The issue is going to be his ability to chase shooters. He got completely caught up in the wash while chasing someone around a screen earlier. He can't be a full-time four if he can't get around screens.

I do like seeing him on the floor with bigs though. We are switching a lot more. I think in the last game we had a possession where Lopez hedged on a pick-and-roll and the big rolled free to the basket. He thought he had an easy finish but got stuffed by a rotating WCJ. I wouldn't describe Lopez as being particularly mobile, but he is so much more versatile at the defensive end than was Vucevic.

I like what I'm seeing for the most part. Anthony frustrates the hell out of me. We are going to struggle offensively, but we have a chance at being pretty good at the defensive end. It's going to take time though. We are just doing a lot more than we ever did under Clifford and it will take time for guys to adapt. WCJ looks like he is really enjoying his new role. Bamba looks reinvigorated. We have a lot to clean up, but that will happen as guys adjust to the new coach and officiating changes.

He doesn't really know how to use screens right now. That should come. He just isn't creating space when he uses a screen. Contrast that with Hampton who open up a lot of space when he gets around a screen.

As long as Suggs is healthy these first couple of years he'll be fine. Murray averaged 9.9 PTS his first year on 40% shooting, but he played 81 games.

Franz is so raw and rough right now. I kinda get the early JJ years with us. You know the guy is smart/high IQ and knows how to make plays both offense and in defense. Yet the body and skill isn't there yet.
