Ha that's awesome. Get it JT!
I just got into Squid Game last night. Better than I was expecting and pretty addictive.

Re: Official Celtics 2021-22 Pre-Season Thread
If even one of Romeo or Nesmith pop and become legit floor spacers who can defend well (feel good about the latter piece already for both), the prospects for our team look so much brighter. Really, any one of those two and Richardson just need to be threats from deep. If two do...

Re: Official Celtics 2021-22 Pre-Season Thread
Seems we have two options with lineup.
First is the big lineup with Williams and Horford as the Pf/C.
Second, and the way I like, is to go Romeo/Nesmith as the SG.
Is there any objection to the Romeo/Nesmith starting. Over horford?
I don’t know. Just seems that is going to be the decision for Ime.

Horford said he wants to start.
I think Udoka will honor that request.

I think Al will start, and honestly if Timelord doesn't snap out of it, he might be the one to the bench if double big isn't the answer.

Re: Official Celtics 2021-22 Pre-Season Thread
So far after 2 games, I like what I'm seeing from Pritchard, Nesmith and Romeo.
I've got a good feeling all 3 of them could be making solid leaps this season and solid impacts.
Pritchard - in both games but especially last night - man, he is good offensively. He has the chance to be literally one of the best shooters in the league within the next 2 years. He can flat out shoot, man. I hope he was watching VanVleet closely last night. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to see that VanVleet is Pritchard's ceiling. And that's a damn good ceiling because VanVleet is a borderline all-star.
Pritchard not only shot the ball well last night, but he made some good plays off the dribble, getting into the teeth of the defense, either making the shot or a good pass. I am also sensing a trend - Romeo's game winning shot in summer league = assisted by Pritchard. Romeo's game winning shot vs Orland = assisted by Pritchard. Juancho's clutch reverse layup vs Toronto = assisted by Pritchard. Face it - Pritchard is improving as a play maker. The only questions I have with him are 1) defense. He isn't terrible but he's not very good either on D. 2) Sometimes is too passive on offense, you see Tatum or Jrich initiating offense with Pritchard just standing there off in the corner and you're like, um dude you're supposed to be the PG, right? Go get the damn ball, take charge out there and get us into our offense.
Nesmith was decent last night on offense. Again showing he is a knock down shooter. Obviously Romeo was better on both ends of the floor, though. I re-watched the highlights and there was 2 (maybe 3) 3 pointers by Toronto where they made 3's, we weren't contesting the shots very closely and who was the one defending the shots? Nesmith. He needs to pick it up on D, seems like he is out of position sometimes. I think he will get there, still just 21 yrs old and in 2nd season. Nesmith and Pritchard are better offensively - but both of them are a good distance behind Romeo defensively..
Grant and Juancho also look good so far.

Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything

I have put some thought into this question, and I find the answer is... Both!!
my explanation is with certain matchups, choice "Big" may work better, other nights the 2nd choice of quicker (but not small lineup) Nesmith/Brown at wings and Tatum as the 4 man. Boston/IME doesn't have to keep changing starting lineups with all the Combination that he has, but rather keep 2 starting lineups and adjust accordingly.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

Re: Official Celtics 2021-22 Pre-Season Thread
Unlike the horror of last years lineups that even had Coach Stevens starting C Edwards a few times, Boston has enough depth and versatility to have so many possible starting and backup lineups.
Good problem overall.

I would just like to formally pat myself in the back for being an early advocate of the HorLord double big lineup. I believed from day one. Where's my cookie?

The Double Big Lineup worked with Horford and R. Williams. But, will it work with one of them and Kanter?

Ralph Sampson and Hakeem Olajuwan is double big.
Horford and RWill together are two players playing at their natural positions.
We've been stuck with an undersized roster for so long that having someone over 6'6" playing PF seems like an anomaly.

That's your nit pick instead of Draymond being called a wing?Floody100 wrote:

Only with AL maybe..I think they should start double big then sub AL early so he can roll with the 2nd unit after resting for a little while.

I hope that *if RW and AH start, they would just take one out early and then Su for each other often. Never want to see Kanter outside a rare matchup (Embiid?). He is nightmarishly bad on the perimeter.
