Any other suggestions?

I’m always looking at what is the best long term chance at a star we can get. Bagley, Hill, and a late lottery pick or two seems underwhelming.

I don’t think we get an established star, but either a young player with star upside or a draft pick with some top 5 potential.

If we were taking that slop, I feel like the deal would’ve been done in July.

Where’s Tomjas saying Ben is loaded?

Why would he keep homes in a city where he doesn’t live?

Lowry sold his house in Canada well before being traded

It’s pretty common to sell the house once you’re set on leaving. I doubt Ben was so desperate for cash that he thought he had to sell his house. He has a contract for $35 million this year, and he is likely to show up and earn almost all of it, minus any fines. He has already made well over $50 million, and despite his extravagant lifestyle, I don’t think he is in a position to sell his house because he is hemorrhaging money. I have no knowledge of his financial situation, but it makes strategic sense that he is selling the house in the city he is trying to alienate, and an organization he is determined to part ways with.

He banked $8.25 million in July and can get nearly that much again by walking into Camden today

Did you not read the part where it would be a 3 team trade with us getting a starting PG? Of course everyone would love to get a star back, but it’s pretty clear that’s not happening. Adding a guy like White + a prolific shooter off the bench like Hield at least gets us even to what Ben has brought imo. + picks/pick swaps and some cap flexibility sooner is a bonus for the future

I get that you need to maximize the Simmons trade but this is a gamble. Trying to work out the worst outcomes and best outcomes from this. Feels like there are more options for it to be bad than good.

If you want to win a title in the NBA you have to make risky decisions. Sometimes gamble, yes. Especially if your team is not from LA.

And you said it yourself, they are trying to work for the best outcome from this.

I'm pretty casual. All the paper decks I own are out of rotation standard decks from years ago.

I just play limited and standard net decks on Arena.

Draft is the best format ever, so much fun if the set is great.

Agreed. Hield is a good help-now piece, but Bagley cannot be the return. For one, we have no need for a no-defense big. We need Haliburton coming in that deal in any non-Fox trades with Sac IMO.

They've been printing a ton of flexible cards that limit mana screw/flood. I'm loving this current set so far.

My post clearly says it would be a 3 team with Bagley, Shake, and a Sac 1st going for 1 of White, Rozier, or Sexton. Was simply asking if that sounded realistic, or what other possibly available guards would fit the bill in the scenario?

Very funny that he* made a whole thing about holding out all year just to fold in like 2 weeks. On to the next nonsense.

if Ben Simmons gets on the court and plays like Ben. before the playoffs or Ben trying to make the All Star game. His trade value increases.

An intact 76er squad just had to play well and wait for another team to implode. If All goes well he time to trade for Ben was while he was holding out. The price is going up.

There is now way he knew he was losing that much.

Paul hasn't done him any favours.

most of the "**** the money" stuff was simply posturing

Most GMs would probably have caved...Morey has basically a blank check in terms of clout within the FO. LIke he can **** this up and it will be Elton probably getting the boot lol

BUT we will see the next attempt at leverage. Fake injury? Act an ass? Or do they play nice and show up and handle things behind the scenes rather than that leak battles with the press?

Honestly...the Nets didn't give a **** but Idk I kinda liked how the team functioned w/o Ben setting up shop in the dunker spot (will say having him run the same sets Drummond did as a top of the key passer would be interesting)....so not as emo about him returning atm.... Still don't think he does. Feels like someone gets cold feet and throws a good offer our way....Can't see him coming back after all the things said and playing in front of our fans...shiiit I wouldn't come back either lol.

You know the “negotiations” was the FO saying “get on the next jet to here tonight or you’re not getting paid for this game.

Otherwise, Ben and Klutch were begging to end the fines/withheld payments.
