Miles looked amazing......again.
LaMelo looked good for most of the game and then had moments of the game where he just looked outstanding. Took some questionable shots though.
Twin #1 looked good. Made it really, really hard for Duncan and Herro with outstanding off ball D.

Bouk looked ok. Committed some really bad unforced turnovers. I'm not comfortable with the ball in his hands this much. He also really needs to work on his 3pt shot - he just doesn't seem confident in it at all.
Ish looked pretty good. I like the hectic pace he brings in spurts.

Vern looked pretty good in the very little PT he got.
Kai is looking better and better each game - still a long ways off though.

Nicky - I just don't get it.
McD - looked lost a lot of the game.
PJ - you really need to figure it out.

Kulboka was disgusting during that entire play.

Not only caught ball watching, not only did he not dive on the ground and own the loose ball but he also allowed the Heat player to turnstile him and just waltz into the lane for the easy layup.

That was **** terrible by him.

Unless he's running out to the 3pt line and spotting up for uncontested 3's he is useless.

Too small to play the 5 - even against undersized 5's like Bam.
Can not defend the P&R to save his life (seriously, I'm not sure I've ever seen an NBA player as clueless as he is defending the P&R).
Can't protect the rim.
Can't pass the ball.
Can't score in the post.
Can't dominate the boards.

I’ll take it as a win. Us at half strength going against the Heat at near full strength. Had the lead before coach pulled everyone at the end so getting a W was meaningless. If we cut Richards tonight that would be a win

Indeed. PJ just strikes me as not dedicated to his sport, to putting in the intense work to improve, much less excel. Compare him to Miles, who is clearly grinding out the effort, investing in himself and the team, chiseled body and improved in nearly every category.

I wanted to trade him within a deal for Myles Turner….still do.

Well, there's that but kinda worried now about seeing Bouk holding his knee there.

I root for the guys we picked in the 2nd, but if you have several years of development and still aren't producing you need to be cut loose. We have too many of those guys right now, I'd rather we sign a veteran or two for the deep bench. This is just the preseason of course, but if McDaniels, Richards, Kulboka, etc. aren't playing like they're fighting to stay in the league (because they are), then we need to move on from them.

mcdaniels is such a mystery. just so inconsistent in his play. he can play 30 mins and contribute literally nothing, then have a game where he looks like serious starter material. he really needs to find his defined role.
