letting it expire doesn't create cap space though, so there's no advantage to letting it expire.

And roster spots can be created via trade.

^Make that trade, then use the TPE on Montrezl Harrell and the team is at 15 players total and has improved too.

Toronto has no reason to take on the extra year of Powell and Burke just for Terry, so highly doubtful

That's one way of looking at it. The other is that Dragic could just leave for nothing at the end of the year. Raptors will get cap space if he does, sure, but who are they going to spend it on and why? Looks like they won't be big players in FA.

Harrell is a no factor, good in RS but bad in PO.

Lamb i don't know...maybe he is better than nothing.

I thought Harrell was fine against the Mavs in The Bubble, but he doesn't up his game too much.
But no need to force a move if one isn't there just yet. Maybe someone will become available soon.

Yeah, for sure.

Also, I don't think Harrell's on the market right now, but I expect him to be by the TDL. But you're also right about the playoffs. It's not that he's bad in PO, it's just that other players elevate their games more than he does, and since he can't shoot 3s, he has to play an interior role, which also diminishes in the playoffs.

I believe Olynyk is just slightly more than then TPE so not allowable.

If the Kings were willing to tank the season and cut some contracts, my prime candidate for the TPE would be Richaun Holmes. He should have been a target in the offseason anyway if the intention was to play KP at the 4 a lot.

Mavs could get someone for the TPE, wait a day, and then flip for Olynyk. He'd be a solid get, but I think this team needs an outside shooter.

Jakob Poeltl would be a good get though.

That'd be a great get. Mavs would probably have to throw in a first round pick though, but the Kings should seriously consider that.
Jakob Poeltl is another good target. He'd also cost a first round pick.

Mo Bamba a possible target? If not, then what about Wendell Carter Jr.?

Bamba maybe since he wasn't extended. Would fit our timeline especially since he was highly sought out by Mavs former FO during the 2018 draft.

Poetl I like defensively and he's an improved offensive player as well. I'd be surprised if the Spurs were willing to let him go for cheap. Personally though I prefer someone with more athleticism and force. I miss the days of Tyson or heck even Brandan Wright skying for rebounds and finishing lobs with ease.

I was under the impression that Orlando viewed Carter as a centerpiece for them. I remember the Mavs had an interest in him in the draft if they weren’t able to land Luka. If he’s available I’d definitely be interested in him.
