Interesting that the Braves are going with their hardest throwers to dominate their bullpen innings - probably why they didn't keep Richard Rodriquez on the roster despite his good stats during the season - but he had a very low K rate. That's probably why they let Melancon go after last season. In the playoffs, you go with your hardest throwers and avoid Josh Hader.

Today was amazing.
Playing the early game and not just won, but shut Milwaukee out.

So, who would you start for today's game - Ynoa, Smyly, Morton (on 3 days rest), or go with a relievers game - probably starting Minter - who hasn't pitched at all?

If they go with the relievers game, Morton should be available for a few of those innings. That might actually make a lot of sense - putting in Morton in the 3rd or 4th inning. My gut says they don't want to use Smyly at all, because they think soft throwers don't do well in the playoffs.

My guess is they start Ynoa, but yank him at the first sign of trouble.

I’d go Morton and close them out today. He’s a big game pitcher who knows how to close out a series. We are at home, we stole a game in Milwaukee, but I don’t wanna go back.

Charlie hasn’t started on 3 days rest since he was a rookie I read, but he’s not a hard thrower.

Go for the jugular, start Morton at home and let’s end it today.

Charlie is a hard thrower. Fangraphs has him averaging 95.5 MPH on his fastball this year - a little faster than both Fried and Anderson.

Wow really? Nice! Not sure why I see him more as a change up type thrower like a Maddux that has precision. Let’s go ground chuck! Let’s end this thing today I don’t wanna go back to Milwaukee.

Soler's out, and Pache is in - probably not in time for tonight's game. Joc will finally get a start in the OF.

Just seeing this.
Soler will be missed. I'd really like to see Pache STEPUP.

Pache will probably get a chance next series, because the Braves win!!!

Once again the bullpen guys were great - it was Morton and Ynoa that gave up the runs. Freddie got the game winning homer in the 8th. The next round will be harder, but we will win it!

Nice to see Ronald having fun.

Ronald Acuña Jr. went nuts watching the Braves beat the Brewers in the NLDS on TV

And Freddie hit that off of Josh Hader - arguably the best reliever in the business.
