I call BS on him not being anti-Vaxx. Vaccines have been available since late last year. Mandates only came out last month. If he wasn't anti-Vaxx, he would have already taken the vaccine long ago. Dude is trying to hide behind the whole mandate issue as an excuse not to take the vaccine.. BS.

He asked what's their objection to vaccine to which they responded they're not against vaccines but government mandates. Like seriously, the mandates been around a month. What's your excuse for not getting the vaccine before the mandates came around? These people will keep shifting the goal post to deny taking the "mark of the beast".. idiots.

They still are, and of they manage to trade him for an all-star they are winning it barring injury.

This isn't true whatsoever. The vaccine is pushed moreso than anything I've ever seen. It's on billboards, radio ads, commercials, etc. Look at your Twitter or YouTube and there is a forced covid section. It's on the news 24/7. Constant pressure to take this "safe and effective" vaccine and folks wonder why people are suspicious. And not too mention that the companies creating the vaccines are shady af.

The people who don't want it just want to be left alone.

People who are against the mandates but not the vaccine can still get vaccinated and continue their protest against the mandates. If they truly believe that refusing the vaccine is an effective way to protest the mandates they could always just get a single dose of the vaccine. Kyrie's protest would still be just as effective if he only got one dose but refused the second.

Not receiving any vaccine doses would suggest an opposition to the vaccines themselves and not just the vaccine mandates.

I was reading the latest news in the Realgm Wiretap: it seems that Irving wants to be a sort of discount-Che Guevara, but the difference with other revolutionaries is that he only cares about feeding his ego or fighting against a delusional sense of oppression (in a country like the US nonetheless). It only shows that Irving simply doesn't know anything about the world if he thinks his GOV is oppressive.

What you're saying isn't necessarily wrong, but it's a great way to rationalize pretty much anything. If you take North Korea, Venezuela or Afghanistan as yardsticks, then everything is going excellently in the west. And the whole feminist and LGBTQ movements can't even be justified, if we compare how those groups are treated in many Muslim countries. Workers' unions shouldn't even exist, cause people working at the Nike and Primark factories in India have it way worse.

Of course the comparison was with the developed world like Europe (EU mostly + a bunch of other countries), UK, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Canada where the State is more present in everyday life than in the US (and still surely not "oppressive").
In Italy for example 80% of people is fully vaccinated, a "greenpass" in order to work will become mandatory in the next few days (this prompted even more outrage than the vaccine). We also have many "Kyrie Irvings" who don't want to get vaccinated. We all know that Irving's obsession with challenging "the perceived control of society" (quote) is not something a reasonable person would entertain in a 1st world country.

The Nets were able to shake off his absence without much damage last time, he produced on the court, and we did not hear much about any locker room issues with teammates. Setting aside the fact that we don't just leave drunk drivers alone, and that none of publicly screaming profanities at school board members, threatening nurses with violence, or yelling at kids outside of a school constitutes just leave me alone, none of what you wrote negates my point.
