PS Game 4: Blazers @ Suns

Suns not even playing great through 1, but Blazers look turrible.

Nader sure does love to take bad shots. At least he's aggressive I guess. Wish we kept Craig over Nader, personally though.

Book's 3 pointer looking pure so far. If he can hit 3s like everyone thought he'd be able to, he's going to be unstoppable (even more than he already is). Really all he needs to do is get that 3 point percentage skewing upward and to continue to improve defensively and the sky's the limit for him.

Book and everybody else knows that once he improves his consistency on that three he will be a top tier player. Fingers crossed this is the season

Suns looking like they're in midseason form so far even without CP3. Missed a lot of wide open looks in the first quarter, but we've been moving the ball really well.

have you guys been talking about Cam Johnson's range this year? It seems he's taking longer 3s.

There should be a "Mercy" clause for games. This is a good-ol' shellacking.

Refs giving Blazers some mercy-calls now I guess. They feel bad, I guess.

Payton almost a triple double. Even if it's garbage time, it's fun.

Suns win it all this year...

McGee was some1 i really didnt want but he fixed the hole we needed at center.

Shamet I wasnt sure about either but he does provide the scoring punch we were missing off the bench.

We fixed our biggest weaknesses.

But this is a 1 year rental of these guys and Paul is only getting older.

We are all in... and I believe it. This is it. Lets **** do this.

Nice to beat a solid team playing their starters by 45 without CP3 out there. 2nd and 3rd teams doubled up the lead in the second half too.

Great to see Booker come out cooking, hopefully his 3 ball takes a step forward this year. Mikal looks more comfortable handling the ball, still a bit shaky under pressure though.

Payton looked infinitely better running the 3rd team than he did splitting ball handling duties with Cam Payne with the 2nd team. Not a huge fan of his, but he's one of the best 3rd string point guards you're going to find.

Not expecting playing time for Stix this season at this point. Personally, I think it's pretty clear that he's most effective playing center, but we seem intent on trying to develop his perimeter game. We'll see how it goes, not easy for someone to change the way they've been playing for years though.

I think we can beat anyone except a full strength Nets team - which is looking very unlikely

Yeah that pick made no sense then and makes less sense now. I'm not sure what makes us think he's a power forward. It's not like he handles the ball or shoots 3s particularly well for a power forward in this era.

Play him at center and let him run the floor, rebound, protect the paint, and play pick and pop/roll. Any perimeter skills he develops are an advantage for him at center, as opposed to a prerequisite at power forward. He'd likely still be our third string center though.
