Yes, Arcidiacono has been painfully bad every time he has touched the ball. And if it were up to me, Jabari Parker will be gone too. He made a few shots early and made one defensive play. Then he folded. I'd rather keep Theo Pinson.

Once again, Nesmith, Langford, G. Williams and Pritchard looked good. They will be pushing the older players for minutes.

I thought maybe Mathews might have a chance for that 15th spot. Now I feel like it ought to be down to Parker, Hauser, or Pinson of the guys presently on the squad. I am thinking Brad might be keeping a close eye on the waiver wire around the league, too. Feels like it's still an open competition.

Somebody stated it perfectly earlier. We watched Jabari turn back into Jabari.

Nesmith lit it up and Rob looked like the Rob of last season again rather than the Rob of first 2 preseason games. Hell, in a way he was better cause he actually hit TWO mid range jumpers!

Those are my 2 takeaways from this game.

Not much else really worth talkin bout..

Well, that and a couple of guys like Archi and Matthews definitely played themselves out of any change of making the team.

agree on Archi.. he isn't NBA caliper but Mathews can play with the NBA level team. Just needs to play his role as a knock down shooter. The minute he starts trying to do too much, he will fail. Role players need a defined role.

Grant Williams did NOT look good. rewatch the game if necessary. Still he easily makes the team.

I didn't really get a good feel for Theo tonight, so I have no idea if he's worth keeping, but I think they should keep Parker, and use him as a third string specialist who can guarentee some garbage time points (and maybe even bring him in early on those nights when nobody else can buy a basket. The guy has shown that he does know how to score - now defense, well we won't talk about that  )

Lol. I want to lose a close game because no way do we need to waste close wins in preseason. No way want to win then regress to the mean.

I think Parker has shown enough that he keeps his roster spot.

For the 2nd 2-way spot it's either Pinson or Mathews. Hard to pick 1 at this point. tonight was the first game either has ever played in a celtic uniform. pinson showed better ability to create off the dribble, showed versatiltiy of playing PG as well as off the ball, and looked like he was better defensively than Mathews. Mathews meanwhile is a better shooter, he's proven already in the NBA to be a knock down shooter.

Morgan and Arci are gone. Arci just is not that good and Morgan hasn't shown enough - he's clearly the worst of the 50 million PFs we have (not as good as Tatum, horford, grant, juancho, parker or hauser who can all play PF)

As of now my 15 man roster is the same thing as our 15 guys who have a guaranteed contract. Parker stays.

1 2-way is Hauser and the other is Pinson or Mathews. Hopefully both of them get a chance to play in the last preseason game so we can get a better idea of who it might be. I like Mathews' shooting but like Pinson's versatility of being able to handle the ball and be a 4th PG in a pinch..

Rank your 4 power forwards in order of playing time between juancho, grant Williams. Parker, Hauser.

I still have Juancho 1st.. Parker/Hauser then Grant.

I still have Juancho 1st.. Parker/Hauser then Grant.

Hauser is on a 2-way so he will be 4th on that list.

The other 3 is tough. Parker impressed me tonight. The outside shooting and his D was not bad, really surprised me with that hustle play where he stole the ball in the back court, loved that. He is a black hole on offense but did make 1 pretty good pass.

Grant is the best defensively, but still does have sometimes where a bigger guy will score easily inside because he's so short and can't jump. Juancho not quite as quick defending smaller guys and hasn't been a great shooter so far but he's bigger than the others and as i mentioned earlier in the thread I like his passing and how he really keeps the ball moving, keeps the flow of the offense going with how he quickly moves the ball and makes passes that put us in a better scoring position.

For now I'd probably say Juancho/Parker/Grant/Hauser but it's subject to change.

I think we might end up starting Tatum or Al at the 4, though and those 2 could see a good chunk of mins at the 4 - unless some of Juancho/Parker/Grant group really steps up..

I guess we were watching different games. Grant did not shoot well (1-5) but he kept his man in front of him on defense, set good picks and also had 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and a block.

Grant will be the new Smart for this board. I think Ime already has a liking for Grant the way Brad did for Marcus.

Romeo and Nesmith should be part of the rotation when the season starts. They look like they are ready to contribute

Here is my question then, with only a limited amount of minutes to divide up and a ton of players, do you see Grant in the regular rotation? and over a player like Juancho, who may be his stiffest competition?

Too early to tell. What I have seen is G. Williams, Pritchard, Langford and Nesmith making very strong cases to be in the rotation. All of them have played better than Richardson, for example.
