City data shows that only 28 percent of Black New Yorkers ages 18 to 44 years are fully vaccinated, compared with 48 percent of Latino residents and 52 percent of white residents in that age group.

Makes more sense (as far as where he got the number from), although that article is two months old and that number is at 50% right now.

How the hell can the owner and NBA require staff to get vaccine, but now Kyrie is standing up....we will allow him -- just him -- to be different. The rest of the org might walk out. Preach. Even if you are someone who generally distrusts the Covid vaccine I don’t know why anyone would attach himself to Kyrie as a representative of their cause. Between the flat-earth beliefs he proudly asserted, his JFK assassination conspiracy theories, and his energy cleansing sage burning rituals, he’s proven himself to be a bit of nut job. I think the most annoying thing about this is just how transparent he is, like he's not fooling anyone. His original reasons for not wanting the vaccine were some wacko conspiracies, and after that story came out he's pivoted to this. In the grand scheme of things he just wants to be seen as enlightened, worldly, a free thinker, whatever.
