I think Pops has kept coaching because yes he loves it and also because his wife passed away 3 years ago. It's all he wants to do and I get it. It's been his life. Spurs aren't contending any time soon but I hope he sticks around.

Good story on the 2-3 hour team meals the Spurs have.

Those people are literally the loudest voice right now making a big scene. And they have numerous powerful powerful people being that voice, including possibly the biggest mouth in the world in the former and possible next president of the USA. If anything, these people have too big of a voice considering how small of a faction of society they are.

A lot of people in small factions across the political spectrum have the loudest voices and are making the biggest scenes these days. Worst part of the world, along with social media, which kinda go hand in hand.

I'd say there would be substantial cross over between the "shut up and dribble" faction and the Anti Vax faction, which in theory would have them conflicted on Kyrie. If only they knew what conflicted meant.

It's a boy who cried wolf situation with Kyrie. When you act like he has the past few years of course people's reaction to this is going to be what it is.

Kyrie sort of seems like a guy that has been famous for so long, that he just wants to take a break from basketball and attempt normalcy. Like Chapelle back in the day.

But then again, he also seems like my father in law.. a guy who is such a contrarian that at some point he takes a contrarian stance out of habit, even when he doesn’t fully believe what he is saying.

Merrill with 23 in 23 minutes halfway through the 3rd. He's 7-11 from three. It will be interesting to see if he actually gets a chance to play at some point in the NBA. Memphis has a lot of depth at guard.

Guess they couldn’t cut it to 10 to give themselves a chance in the fourth.

He’s obviously an anti-vaxxer, which okay, fine. Don’t make up this nonsense though. The vaccine existed for what? 8-9 months before the mandates existed? Non-anti-vax Kyrie would have gotten it those 8 months.

It’s all so obnoxious on his end.

But he's Kyrie. He's quit on every team he's ever been on. I'm not so sure he wants to go back to work even if he gets the vaccine. This is the guy who was in a dream scenario in Cleveland and he refused to report to the team when things didn't go his way. It wouldn't surprise me if getting paid $20 million to do nothing this season is exactly what Kyrie wants.

Thibs playing his starters for 30+ mins in the pre season is very on brand.

Do the Knicks have one more year in them before the inevitable collapse due to his coaching style?

None of Minnesota's last four coaches nor any of Chicago's coaches since Phil Jackson have had the success that Thibodeau did in his "collapse" of a final season with either team.

I have exactly zero doubts that Allen is significantly better and more relevant to us than Merrill, to the point that I'm worried if DDV actually has a role in this team.

How long does it take for Kyrie to cave? All the rumors out there seemed to imply that Durant was going to convince him to get the shot sooner rather than later.

Crazy how good Giddey is. Must have gotten his mum's skills.

If there's anyone I could see not caving for the shot it's Kyrie. It seems like basketball is secondary to him.

He went on a long IG Live rant last night. It doesn't sound like he's coming back anytime soon.
