I could give a **** less if he wants to die from the virus or not. His body his choice. Pretty ridiculous to me that we care so much about what he does.

As for Kyrie, I view it kind of like the Ben Simmons thing. He's more stubborn than Simmons but once those paychecks stop rolling in the pressure will mount. I find it extremely hard to believe he's going to give up half his salary, a year of his prime on a contender, and screw up his odds of landing an extension over this.

Can you provide legitimate proof of this.

The data you gave me was based on an online survey. There was no peer reviewed data with standard protocols that verifies who the participants were and removes bias. Anyone could have filled the survey, said they are a doctor and against Covid.

Nice try, though.

Fair enough. I totally would like to see herd immunity, but at the same time, I’m in the right to choose if you have some legit reasons category.

Where is the data that Kyrie (or any unvaccinated) is some Super spreader?

We don't need to derail the thread with your lies and poor reading comprehension again. Keep it to Kyrie.

So it's OK for your to throw out a silly falsehood about Phds, but now you want to keep it to Kyrie. Aren't you cute.

There is the data that over 95% of hospitalizations and deaths are from the unvaccinated.

Do you think it's fair the unvaccinated to decimate capacity at hospitals around the country and hurting those who need real medical treatment?

And the Nets organization their choice.

Why doesn't he just retire already and become a full time anti vaccine activist? He has the money.

So it seems to me he just likes the attention he's getting for this. You don't want the vaccine ok cool, take your money go home and f off.

"My body my choice" really loses a lot of credibility when you 'choice' directly impacts others around you and their health.

I dont give a **** if you dont get the vaccine and get Covid, I care about you not getting the vaccine and walking around living your life spreading the virus to others since it.....you know....gets transmitted by proximity, bacteria and air.

If you dont want the vaccine, fine, stay at home and never come out until we reach herd immunity.

Wasn't aware of the PM issue. I've corrected it. How else would you administer a study on vaccine hesitancy other than a survey?

Over five million subjects, not yet peer reviewed unfortunately, but standard protocols and bias were parts of the study, and it says that in the text. Certainly not perfect but a more far reaching study than anything else conducted on the subject.

EDIT: It actually has been included in a peer reviewed journal as of last week, I simply used the old link :banghead:

the main point has been lost. i certainly see inconsistancies. like in one arena the first 4 rows need to show a covid card, and from the 5th row on they don't. that is silly, like the early days of smoking/non smoking seats in airlines. or in an arena of thousands on screaming fans, players don't have to wear mask until they sit on the bench.

but you know what,,,PLAY ALONG WITH THE F'ING GAME, KYRIE. you are a member of a team and you've just f'd it's season. you are turning your back on your teammates and the guy you recruited to the nets,,,,,and he just sign off on the nets trading you!

how about that for a reason. kyrie you ain't colin kapernick and you aint taking a colin kapernick stand. NO PLAYER in the nba not even wiggins now is supporting you and none are willing to bend the knee with you.

there is no more an appropo time for "shut up and dribble" than now because kyrie keeps self destructing with absolute nonsensical logic. he is literaly debating HIMSELF

so here's what happens going forward. kyrie clings to his lame logic and screws his team,
or he gets his vax and shows himself as the phoney he is. his dumb logic has once again back him into a corner he can't escape. much like when he apologized for his dumb earth is flat statement

It takes either courage or silliness to do what Kyrie is doing. Regardless I’d miss Kyrie dearly if this is the end of his career... he is one of the most skillfull players in NBA history, very fun to watch

Real peer reviewed data analysis is far more rigorous than an online survey.

You would want verification that the people are who they actually say they are when presenting data to start. So having an online survey open to anyone who can lie about who they are is counter-intuitive for such a controversial topic, especially in the current politicized climate.

My understanding is even the military does forcibly inject someone, but there are other consequences.

That is pretty much forcing it. I don't remember any job ever asking if I had a vaccine or not. Telling someone to take a vaccine or lose their livelihood is an ultimatum. It's no easy to find a new job...I'm glad that some people can go job to job without any issues but not everyone is like that.

Some jobs requiring vaccination isn’t new.

Just point of fact, healthcare workers have always expected to have some vaccinations. And, many places mandate flu shots for healthcare workers.

Also, to go to school as a kid you needed your MMR.l in most places and to prove it.

Might want to check the leading cause of death for his age group. 35-54 is... you didn't guess it... covid. Not accidents.

https://www.healthsystemtracker.org/brief/covid19-and-other-leading-causes-of-death-in-the-us/

35-54 year old seems like an odd range and I would guess the bulk of the covid deaths are the higher up age groups. And that was just for one month.

I assume when you meant age group you were referring to Kyrie.

In 2016, CDC ranked the number of deaths by age range and cause of death.
For 25-34 year olds(Kyries age range) the leading cause of death in one year was Unintentional Injury with 23,984 deaths
Then #2 was Suicide with 7,366 deaths.

https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwjquPqCosrzAhWiQTABHWGWD50QFnoECAoQAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cdc.gov%2Finjury%2Fwisqars%2Fpdf%2Fleading_causes_of_death_by_age_group_2016-508.pdf&usg=AOvVaw3HGf2p5SCYSx0JEvqGi0JM

The CDC has the total amount of deaths by COVID in the age range of 30-39 at 11,313 from 2020-current valid as of 10/13/21
Total amount of deaths in the 30-39 age range was 162,275 in the same time frame.
When you go to 20-29 year olds, the total deaths by Covid is 3,888.
40-49 is 28,190
50-64 is 125,812.

The data can be shown to say the older you are the greater the chance of death from COVID.
