I played a ton of BB in my life, and even had a broken nose. But never worn a face mask.. wonder how hard that is to deal with.. especially since PP and I are prolific shooters..

Well, at least the last 18 months or so have probably made wearing a mask quite a bit easier!

that's true. but one big difference I think players complain about the mask getting foggy from sweat etc.. that and the peripheral vision is bad.

If Rip Hamilton could do it and still play at an all-star level, then I'm sure Pritchard can too. Plus, Rip did it 15 years ago - I'm sure that since that time they have maybe made the masks better and easier to play with them on..

Obviously it can be done. but who was last year in the playoffs, D Booker I think kept ripping it off in the game.

And yes.....there it was - Udoka with the mandatory " abundance of caution " comment in Timelord not playing. To date there is no such thing as a minor injury with him.

Ime needs to figure out how to play defense with Kanter on the floor esp if we can't rely on Timelord's health and if we're managing Horford's minutes in the regular season. Stevens was able to maximize Enes at least in the RS (EK had the 2nd best net rating his first go-around, only behind Tatum).

It's not just defense. It's an attitude change on offense as well (more hero ball is appropriate when you have a guy who is both an excellent post scorer and a truly great offensive rebounder). Perhaps he's not eager to mess around with that until basic new system has gelled a bit, and/or there are specific matchups where a big on the other team forces a scheme change anyway.

Even if he's an excellent post scorer as he's reputed to be, post scoring is still one of the least efficient ways to score. So being on the 80+ percentile in post scoring could be matched by someone average in catch-and-shoot for example. Forcing double teams would be my primary goal for feeding someone in the post except Enes is a poor passer from there (or in general). The anti-Horford. I guess my point is I don't really want the team using up possessions to feed him inside unless it's early and deep. His biggest value is his offensive rebounding esp on switches.

Semi-related:
Fans were also quick to blame Ime for Fournier hitting multiple threes in OT. They're complaining about the "switch-everything" scheme. Well, Ime changed that up (maybe a bit late to it) with Rob sticking with Randle and just switching 1 thru 4. This caused confusion among the players. Tatum and Brown each gave up at least one Fournier trey late 'cos they expected a switch when they were not supposed to. The coach adjusted the scheme, the players screwed up with communication/execution.

Did Richardson get vaccinated? Or is the migraine just a cover up?
