The Rockets rookies look pretty underwhelming this game

Lol Knicks/Wiz game sounded like a small-town playoff game, and Randle hits a game winner to make the Knicks undefeated in preseason, 115-113.

And that wraps up the Bulls preseason. Undefeated.

Zach with the filthy 31 pts on 18 shots. 4/4 from 3, 6 assists and 6 rebounds and good defense

Ready for Wednesday. Time to put everyone on notice
Damn I love Hip Hop!

Apologies to all the degen Blazers 1st H bettors. I'm sure the line was -3 or -3.5 Warriors. Curry can do that to ya.

J Poole coming back down to earth quite a bit recently, but he'll still be a really nice 6th man for them once Klay gets back in action. Liking Damion Lee growing into that stretch/consistent 7th/8th man role as well.

Wiggins is Wiggins. He'll never improve, hopefully he just continues to buy in defensively and plays the Barnes role effectively. Their inflection points will be Otto staying healthy and being that clutch spacing presence and ultimately Klay's health. Super thin team still ultimately but they've got a chance to be very potent with Curry and Dray still in their late prime.

Rookie wise it would be nice if Moody could contribute something later in the season, but he's likely a year away, and Kuminga is 2-3 years away from entering an NBA rotation if he gets there.

He didn't get playing time until the 4TH Q and immediately made an impact with a cross court pass for a 3. Unreal feel and instincts and poise for the youngest player in the league. Love. This. Young. Man.

Main takeaway from this Mavs undefeated pre-season -- their camp bodies are better than most teams camp bodies. In other words it tells us nothing of any real import.

Took KD + Klay + Iguodala + Cousins + Looney injuries / triple teams on Curry to fall a 3 short from forcing a G7 in the Finals without them.

Always were, always will be the two most important players on the Warriors title runs. With all due respect to Klay - the ultimate heater when he's on (and necessary 3rd piece to win it all).

40+ in 29 minutes Steph. GG call it a preseason. We get to slap around the Lakers in a few nights. Leggo.

Depth is good if players are healthy. You need an 8-9 man rotation by the playoffs, and Klay should be ready by then. You then have Poole, Otto, Lee, Bjelica which makes the 9. If just 1 of Moody/Kuminga/Wiseman works out, they will have the bodies.

For sure - just a lot of "ifs" with the team right now. That said, I'm extremely happy with how we're entering the season and Klay's current status.

That was filthy. I really hope Pop doesn't send him to the G-League all year. Spurs are not playing for anything this season and he needs minutes, he's clearly oozing with talent

Same players looked like the didn´t belong in the summer league just a few weeks ago. My biggest takeaway of those games. The Mavs are healthy. For the first time since I don´t even know. Pre KP trade when the roster sucked anyway?
Maxi is moving well. KP is looking quicker. Luka is in way better shape compared to the start of the last season.

I thought all the Mavs end of roster guys looked good but McLaughlin but I guess they see enough for him to get the 2nd 2-way. And yeah KP and Maxi moving well will be vital to this season's success defensively. KP looking legit on that end the best single thing.

But unlike all these other posters seeing undefeated preseasons and predicting big things for their team, I'm glad we are more tempered. Team should be good and potentially more than that if KP stays healthy, but I'm just never counting on that.

I think it's realistic that he'll play some in Austin. He has to outplay DJ, Derrick, Lonnie for regular rotation minutes. But what Primo's shown is that he's going to push for a quicker call up than anyone expected from an 18-year-old player. And with him getting consistent Austin reps, it means he'll only be ready for SA sooner.

Keldon pushed his way to the big club and he still has holes in his game. Primo's feel you can't teach. So long as he's ready, he'll get his chances. We're not in the holding back a guy who can help business but in the winning games business. The more he contributes the more he plays (and yes I get the 'he has to play to contribute' argument).

It's a long season. I expect Primo to get quality minutes with the Spurs.

I’m a believer in them...until the league figures out Kidd and his coaching staffs’ main game plan again and it starts to sputter. May be good for a year or two of contender level b-ball.

hated the pick, not the player, but I'm starting to see that they're clearly not trying to win and with that in mind, the fact that they have plenty of PG and SGs doesn't matter and if they're viewing this as them doing a complete and total rebuild, you have to get the PG of the future. I still am baffled why Pop would be willing to go through a rebuild at his age and stage of his career. They have a lot of quality players that can help contenders at the trade deadline so they should be able to jettison a few of them for picks or young players.

I think he's always had that, and it's not really going right, in the sense of being able to go either way equally. There are lots of guys who are strong drivers to their dominant side and good pullup shooters to their non-dominant side, since it's very natural to gather the ball with your off hand into your shooting motion. But it's still predictable and you can anticipate what they're going to do -- which doesn't mean it's easy to stop, but it makes it easier to make a good contest.

Notice it was against a inexperienced (albeit talented) defender in Gafford, who took a step back to cut off the right hand drive and dropped his hands, instead of staying up expecting the pullup. That's a situation where when you see him going right you just stay up and overplay the pullup, knowing that he doesn't really want to drive past you in that direction. And if he tries it, you've forced him away from a strength, and you hopefully have help behind you.
Just because it happened to you, doesn't make it interesting.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

Yesterday I was lying; today I'm telling the truth.
