Regarding Springer, my stance remains to just trust the traits. Not only is he young, but he's halfbaked ontop of it. So it's going to seem like he's even further away from ever being good. I say to trust the traits and enjoy the eventual exponential growth.

Man, is there any team more annoying than the Knicks? They're only playing their 10 deep and not showing any of their interesting players. Thibo trying to grind out wins even in the preseason.

You look at the guards coming into the league.

Most of these guys knows the secret sauce skills to work at to earn a big paycheck. So you see a lot of the players coming in more advanced than usual. They know their success is largely tied with their ability to shoot and score. The importance of two important ways to create scoring, PnR and stepback.

He can’t shoot. He doesnt project to be a good finisher around the rim. He isnt good moving side to side and only straight line. He doesnt possess PG playmaking. He doesnt possess great length for deflection.

He’s just getting those mid range jumpers because thats naturally the highest rate of open shots because teams like to give up on those.

He’s basically me on NBA2K Myplayer.

But who knows.. maybe he develops into a 90+ rating player eventually. Time will tell. But im not betting any of it and yet im not closing other possibilities for now.

Springer should have spent two extra years in College to polish his game. He’s just not ready for the big smoke (may/may not have the skills in the end either).

Don’t get drafting this raw of a player at that pick at that age knowing our development/track record it doesn’t make sense. Like the kid but yeah it’s a head scratcher. Is undersized and not much of a PG, weird pick.

Other news Banch is huge, legit and is Cade on steroids. Not surprised
