Evan Mobley with impressive game.
It's very rare to see big with great coordination, defensive instics and actual feel for offense and nice passing vision.
Hopefully Cavs can develop him in right fashion.

Looks like the Thunder also got a very nice big PG with the #6 pick.

Cliff got the most of the guys...

But seriously, if we were in a better place I would be pissed about losing Otto. He is a very solid vet.

Otto played 3 games for us , he just couldn't stay healthy.

Maybe with Warriors they will play him like 15 mpg for 40 games to save him for playoffs? Will that do the trick? Maybe. But Otto has been broken for 4 years straight.

Giddey is just so fun and enjoyable to watch playing. He’s looking very deserving of that #6 pick. If only he’d slipped to #8 and he could be running point with Suggs.

Anyone want to take a flier on Tyrell Terry?

I think Dallas cut him loose because they had little choice. I have no idea what's going on with him, but he isn't playing much basketball.

Sounds like there has been a lot of inconsistencies in the organization and he has not been able to stick around for off-season due to “personal reasons.” However, he showed why many were high on him when they moved him to the G-League for more playing time.

We are a rebuilding team in need of shooting. I would take him over other end of bench options we are offering 2-way deals to.

Giddey was my guilty pleasure draft pick at 5. But when Suggs fell I was totally happy with the pick, as i had him in the same top tier with Giddey, Green and Mobley.

I'm not sure he would have meshed with Suggs but i really would have loved to have him on the Magic.

everyone gushing about Giddey. its preseason. i wasnt a fan of his coming into the draft (at least not as a lottery pick), easily admitted. Ill re-evaluate after 30-40 games

In preseason, especially with rookies, looking at stats is pointless, but Giddey suprised me with how fluid his ballhandling is, he is out there trying things that normally only small ballhandlers try and rarly do in nba.

His jumpshot form needs massive changes tho, shot relise is painfully slow and he holds ball low, in competitive games he will struggle to lunch shots over opponents with current shot.

I would rather had seen the Magic resign Porter than sign Lopez. But it is what it is.

This is the Knicks starting lineup. Gibson, Randle, Fournier, Barrett, and Walker. I can't see them beating too many teams with that lineup.

Kevin Huerter might be interesting next season. The Hawks will be strapped and 1 million under the projected tax threshold already for next season.

From NBL it’s night and day. Giddey is going to be bigger and taller than Lamelo (less zip, less special to me overall but it’s closer than people think). He’s grown noticeably. It’s a huge advantage imo

Great advertisement if all three including (RJ) become really really good NBA players. Might be bias but whatever but they play for keeps no funny business, it’s a very honest league. In fact it’s probably one of the best places for a youngster to go and play. Not necessarily for clout or anything like that but for young players to develop and mature properly.

Both were good finishers, so there’s no doubt he’ll be fine, the question for me is how good he’ll be. I have him as borderline All Star and the tiers as follows:

MVP tier:
Luka

All NBA/MVP like seasons:
Trae
Morant

All Star tier:
Lamelo

Borderline All Star/Appearances:
Garland
Giddey

PG spot is looking great for the future (tad jealous we don’t have one lol).

At minimum a 6”8” better shooting Rubio is way better than just a Rubio.
Li WenWen is the GOAT
