NICE!!!

Exactly the contract that we were expecting and he deserves it. Fair deal for Mikal and for the Suns.

I think it means they had Bridges done a long time ago but didn't want to announce it until Ayton was agreed on. But now they've realized the low ball to Ayton hasn't panned out so they're done negotiating and decided to announce Bridges before the deadline and Ayton will be after the season is over.

Otherwise, if Ayton was done, they'd announce it at the same time.

Let’s hope we hear something from Ayton soon
Agreed. So much better to go into the season with fewer distractions. I'm just a pessimist at heart. Being a suns and chargers fan has really taught me that everything sucks and nothing goes right haha

Awesome. Great deal. I was thinking 4/$95 earlier but thought given how long it was taking it might end up at $100.

Sarver got a discount. Good for him. Now let's see him put the money he saved on Mikal/CP3/Cam Payne for extending DeAndre. He still has sometime to make it happen. I'll believe it when I see it.

You think $22.5 a year is a discount? I think most were thinking $20-$25 a year.

Good deal. Happy for Bridges

I was hoping they could get Bridges signed to something similar as OG Anunoby (similar player) but this is still a solid deal.

$22.5M per year for Mikal is not a discount or anything like that.

Anunoby's contract is cheaper but he got the deal one year before, so it makes sense for Bridges to earn a bit more than him.

And Aaron Gordon got slightly less than Mikal this offseason.

OG Anuoby was a massive discount for the Dinos. If Mikal had hit open market he would've cleared more. I thought he was gonna want max but settle for 26 or so. Let's see about Ayton.

Have there been any talks or reports on Shamet extension?

Fair deal for both Mikal and the team. Maybe he and his agent settled finally for what the Suns were offering, while Ayton's camp didn't. Otherwise I would expect both extensions being announced at the same time. At this point 99% no deal for DA IMO. Dave King somewhat predicted Mikal's extension being announced soon in his article.

Gordon is older and injury prone. Suns got a deal. GB agrees with me that Mikal could've gotten way more. Hopefully this doesn't piss Ayton off if a deal isn't announced in the next 24 hrs or so. Though props to you for calling this. I remember you said that Mikal should get done 1st.

Yes, horrible game - but after the Browns and Cowboys running the ball - not surprised

As for the Suns - -glad to get Mikal done. In some ways, this was the tougher of the two. Ayton to me is still pretty easy - just pay him. But glad Mikal is done. Lets get Ayton done!
