Is there even any current NBA players that are openly gay...I can't even think of one off the top of my head

Boy this one is even worse than the " Is calling a team a World champion offensive" thread. My gosh, lets just get the season rolling already!

Imagine if Steph and Klay were married? The splash spouses doesn’t have a bad ring to it. And I say why not? Spouses work together. We’ve seen brothers on the same team, twins on the same team, cousins on the same team and childhood friends as well.

The WNBA is full of lesbians, for some reason. So this isn't surprising. But NBA players are mostly straight men. This will never happen.

Threads like this are great to dig up all the phobics so rest of us can ignore them.

Considering ever is a long time and current state of NBA the league isn't going anywhere for a long time. Probably.

I think that would be a good start, but we can expand on this as time goes alone to make surethat there is no group out there that feels ostrasized. There is a shocking lack of diversity on NBA rosters and they need to know that fans come in all sorts of shapes, races, sizes, sexual orientations, etc.

Never thought about it before, but now that you mention it yeah of course we will. Just a matter of when not if.

Thanks I try to keep them creative and worth talking about. Also, wanted to share with Realgm that the two ladies were married, as I figured many of us would find that astonishing.

I feel that the WNBA has way more homosexual players than the NBA. So I could see that the chances of it happening are much less in the NBA, but I still think it’s great for progressive and forward (wokeward) thinking.

Lastly, their chemistry on the court (Vandersloot and Quigley) is outrageous, and they just won the WNBA pinnacle, so it’s great to see it have no negative drawbacks on their professional careers.

I’m all for forwaed thinking, but that’s a bit much. Yeah, lack of diversity because all the good players are African American (Luka, Jokic being the outliers). But that’s not an issue, they are just plain better, more athletic, etc. but to require one gay player? It just doesn’t make sense.

Honestly, don’t ruin my damn post and get it locked with your lack of anything. What does a players preference matter to you? You’d still tune in like a good little b**** and watch.

I agree this is true, but it isn’t out of the realm of possibility.

I didn't know the WNBA had married teammates, that's pretty interesting.

And there's no reason why this can't be a serious thread.
