The WNBA is full of lesbians, for some reason. So this isn't surprising. But NBA players are mostly straight men. This will never happen.

There does seem to be a higher percentage of gay athletes in women’s sports than men’s. At least people that are out, I guess.

It’s be interesting to know why. Probably a combination of a bunch of different things.

Not sure... let's ask Dave Chappelle what he thinks about this lol.

Chappelle made it very clear he is and and always was accepting of the gay community (unlike the trans community where I think he's still learning how to include, but thats a separate conversation).

He made it pretty clear he was in favor of "love whoever you want". I interpreted a lot of what he said as him making commentary on how people & society lump gender with who you love (all or nothing thinking style). Which is ironic, because its what you're doing by bringing him up in this context that contributes to homophobia... the man's a fking genius/pioneer/has mistakes of his own so don't give him some he hasn't made. I assume unintentionally

One of the top rappers right now is openly gay which is something even a few years ago I wouldn't expect.

It'll only be short while before we have a few openly out NBA players. Will probably be one of the next couple draft classes. GenZ's seem to be much more open with their sexuality and gender orientations.
