My hope is that Trent Jr. starts over Dragic, but I think Nurse is going to Nurse and start Dragic. I'm indifferent who starts at C right now, I think Achiuwa and Birch are going to split those minutes (24/24) regardless.

Our bench looks weak with Siakam and Boucher out of the lineup. Flynn, Yuta, and Svi do not inspire confidence.



The way Svi has played in preseason .. I think Nurse is going to play this guy 30+ minutes ..

Forget the starting lineup, I'm much more interested in discussing minutes and who closes games out.

Precious / Siakam / Anunoby/ Barnes/ VanVleet close

Birch 18 / Precious 24 / Boucher 6
Siakam 34 / Boucher 14
Anunoby 34 / Barnes 11 / Watanabe 5
Trent Jr 27 / Barnes 3 / Watanabe, Mikhailuk, Dragic 18
VanVleet 33 / Dragic 8 / Flynn 7

After the first game, it seems Birch is a much better defender.
Meanwhile, I don't see Trent starting. He has flashy steal and gamble on it, but he got schooled by Neto and missed rotations.

I prefer Dragic to come off the bench as well, but Banton plays so well, so I am not sure we want both Dragic and Banton off the bench while no one really see mis-matches from the starting lineup.

I think next game we can try Birch-Barnes-OG-Dragic-VanVleet and Achiuwa-Boucher-Watanabe?-Trent/Mykhailiuk-Banton
