Yeah this is where I'm at as well. MJ and Mitch wouldn't be stupid enough to let Melo's best friend and player who has by far the most chemistry with him just walk for nothing next year right...?

That being said, wouldn't have minded locking him up for 4/80-90...but I don't blame him at all for betting on himself. Hopefully it works out for both parties in the end.

The miles situation doesn’t upset me, that’s just business that will work itself out.

The backup centre situation though :banghead:

Should've resigned Zeller. It's mind boggling to me.

Maybe he didn't want to be here anymore?

Maybe?

As long as he improves a little we will match any offer next offseason.

I'm not a risk taker. I could never pass up 70 80 mil now, for the possibility of 120 mil next year. I could nevervtsje that gamble. Even if I felt disrespected in the process because some of my peers received more money.

So neither side has leaked anything about what stalled the negotiations or what either party was asking for? Annoying

Fixed it for ya.

My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Yeah it's just that every other fanbase can glean some understanding of what transpired - See the Ayton situation for example. We are in the dark so we don't know if Bridges camp was being greedy or if the hornets were to blame.

Maybe Bridges just told them he wanted to wait until next year and let the market decide his contract. We can match it if it doesn't get too outrageous.

If that's the case it would be nice if someone came out and said it. It's not too cryptic.

I bet Bonnell would've scooped it. Nothing against Boone, just saying the guy with three decades of service to the team probably gets to the bottom of it.

I mean...Bonnell probably had like two scoops in his last 10 years with the team, that Lamb scoop and maybe one other one. It really didn't feel like Bonnell ever put much effort into trying to get scoops.

Bonnell definitely got scoops, but they were usually rather minor. not because Bonnell sucked at his job, but because the front office (especially before Kupchak) was very tied into the Woj/Shams/Marc Stein sphere of dissemination. Bonnell's #1 skill was knowing the NBA landscape and being able to get players and coaches to speak on very specific things. granted, this usually meant Bonnell asking a 45 second question out of range of the interview mics while the interview subject all but rolled their eyes. but they did answer.

My Yahoo NBA Fantasy app is telling me that Miles still has knee soreness from the last preseason game and is a game time decision for tonight.

Is that just old news and he is in fact good to go?

If that's the case they should've just come out and said Miles wants to bet on himself. There would be no mystery or story at that point.

They have him listed as probable, though Terry was downgraded to questionable...
