he was. If you watched every game the past 3 years, you can see his motor is up and down. There are times you’ll say “why cant he do this all the time?”Audi wrote:pepe1991 wrote:This doesn't even take in account that there was period of time when Khem Birch was better than him and how ugly unprepared his body was for nba and how easly he was pushed around and how letargic and uninterested he looked when he did play.
His a*** was lit on fire during this offseason because it was clear he won't get some lucrative contract from Magic nor anybody else if he keeps being letargic a**. So on bad team projected to win between 17 and 25 games, he will have green light to shoot. Having probably as little as $6M a year offer with possibility to land some twice-as much contract would lit fire under any a$*.
And ofc he is now trying hard.
Do we actually have any proof - players, coaching staff etc. that Bamba is actually “lethargic” and that’s it’s an ongoing issue he is now (seemingly) overcoming, or is this your own opinion of how he looks on court?
I had to remind myself that this is coming from pepe, who thought Fultz was so lazy that he was faking an injury to grift off the league, perfectly content with his only making his rookie salary with no aspirations to improve before disappearing.
Thats the same issue that has hounded him since college. The reason why he fell where he was drafted, despite his impressive physical measurements. There were issues about his passion for the game. Also, even Robbins interviewed scouts in his primer a few weeks ago, with NBA scouts talking about Bamba’s love for the game being a problem. I cant remember one game in the preseason, where the opposing team’s announcer have said that game was the most effort he’s seen Bamba play.

This has been a recurring issue. Even Bamba, HIMSELF, admitted he was working on improving his conditioning. Lol
