so you consider LeBron James was a failure?
No not at all, I was referring to the teams who made the picks not individual players. But he did leave before winning a chip with Cleveland. I just found it interesting that 30 years worth of #1 overall picks and only Duncan and Kyrie actually won chips with the team that drafted them (LeBron obviously won with Cleveland but that was after returning as a FA). Overall was just saying getting the number 1 overall really hasn't been a cure all for the franchise that lands it.

We as fans when our team is bad we dream about landing 1 and getting a franchise guy and things will be great for the next decade plus but that's just not been the reality of it like at all.

Love the drama in Philly
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

So all the footage of him dogging it in practice and having his phone on him was just as bad as it looked.

So the Shamet deal is basically the Grayson Allen deal with two non guaranteed years at the end.

Markets are bullish on battery projectile futures in the greater Philadelphia area.

I am already beyond thankful the Bucks have Giannis because he's an awesome player, but seeing the Simmons drama play out makes me even more thankful that he's a great person on top of it.
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

The league needs to figure out how to prevent future situations like this. You can't have guys sign long term deals then completely pour/quit on their teams as they demand trades. Not to say Philly organization is without blame on this but it's just a bad bad look for the league.

**** the Sixers and **** Simmons for hijacking opening night of the NBA. This league needs to stop paying attention to malcontent career losers like Simmons. I really hope they don't spend much time talking about this guy all night tonight when they should be celebrating Giannis and to a lesser extent Durant, James and Curry tonight.

Sorry we didn't take you #2 in 2014, Joel. You deserve better.

At the very least the Sixers do need to destroy any credibility that Simmons has of being a competitive player. Send him to Sacramento or Minnesota and let him rot away in NBA Siberia the next 4 years so no one ever has to talk about him again.

Rivers, Embiid and the Sixers deserve just as much blame as Simmons in all this. Love to see it.

Maybe it's just me, but I couldn't help but notice that Lebron's face and cheeks look a lot bigger in his recent NBA player profile. At first I thought it was just the beard, but above it he looks different I think. Although, could be from the big smile.

I'm not saying he takes HGH but...

Should note I actually don't really care if pro athletes take that or other designer drugs, and lot do. Plus what's legal for them to take and what's not is a pretty arbitrary deal these days. We're long past the days of bad steroids.
