Who will offer him that much money? With his track record, it is very clear that he is not going to dance to anyone else's tune, and his tune is incompatible with a team game. Too much drama.

I didn't say they would offer that much. They will pay him to play and probably a trash team is going to offer a lot of money eventually. Maybe a year or 2 from now, who knows, but if he wants to and can play again teams will sign him.

There are a few interesting names out there. I remember thinking Nate Hinton was interesting coming into the draft. What has happened to Jordan Bell? Thought he was pretty good for the Warriors for a while. Did he have a bad injury?

I still like Hinton and would take a flyer on him. He'd be a huge fan favorite:

Love Hinton. With JB, Smart, Richardson, Romeo and Langford (let alone Begarin:) we don’t have “room” for him, but hope he keeps playing like he does and makes it in this league.

Can Hinton be signed to a two-way contract? Would love to see what he can do for the Celtics.

On a different note, I'm disappointed at the lack of developments on the Kyrie Irving Drama front.

LOL got to love how optimistic this Grizzlies writer is:

"Barring any sort of crazy disaster, the Memphis Grizzlies will likely make the playoffs next season."

https://bealestreetbears.com/2021/08/25/2022-grizzlies-nba-draft-prospect-signs-g-league-ignite/

Lakers, Jazz, Suns, Nuggets, Clippers, Mavericks, Warriors, Blazers

That's 8 teams. They're all better than Memphis IMO. Sure, Memphis could sneak in if they really come together and if 1 of the 8 teams listed above underachieves.

This writer is a serious homer..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

I’m not convinced the Mavericks, Blazers or Warriors are locks. MEM has has a playoff caliber roster, like the Kings, so should be in the hunt. It’s not outlandish for him to believe that

He said that he didn't want to play for them.
Why force it?

Simmons showing up and then sulking and forcing his way out of practice is a horrible look for him.

Yes, I know it is PRACTICE. Not the first Philly guy to have an issue with practice.

Two adorable fan bases, with no record of laughing at Celtics fans during our Kyrie Irving Experience, are going through a little hell of their own. My heart goes out to them.
