Definitely top 3. It's between him and Durant for a few seasons. Can probably even throw Harden into the mix for a couple of those years.

why bron outplay him in the finals then?
even if you're the best at your job, doesnt mean you're perfect at your job... the game is played on the court, not on paper. it went to a game 7.. you're going to boil down which player is best based on 7 games?
That’s kinda the purpose of a finals mvp and lebron outplayed in almost every series they had

Is that the purpose of Finals MVPs? Ever since it was revealed that the broadcasting network pressured voters to give the award to Magic Johnson instead of Kareem because Kareem wasn't there to receive it, it should be obvious that its purpose is to give the network paying for broadcasting rights a way to direct the narrative for its own purposes. Are we supposed to trust a network who in their everyday coverage habitually headline how so and so player scored so many points and then as an afterthought mention it was in a loss to know what the real story is?

I end up marveling at how LeBron dominating still ends up losing. If he really was dominating, their series should have been blowouts—but they weren't. Instead what I see is how at particular moments Curry is right there at the right time making the winning play even when he's having a bad game and how the media completely ignores it.

Well its a team game, so an individual can dominate in a tight series. Just like both these players can be 2 of the best players in the league and still be first round exits last year

Yes it's a team game so when you have one guy dominating one is left to wonder if he is really helping the team. This should be a lesson seared into the heads of all basketball fans from the time of Russell's Celtics but it seems the media's promotion of the Jordan image erased it from people's memories. Wilt is synonymous with imposing numbers. West was the great scorer in finals series. Combined they still lost. Russell didn't win the FMVP then and he probably wouldn't win it now either.

Why would you be wondering that? Those Wilt and West comparisons don't work because Lebron has more post season success than any other player currently in the NBA.

Wilt and West kept losing to Russell's Celtics. LeBron kept losing to Western Conference teams.
I've seen enough Warriors games with KD scoring 40 or even 50—and losing. On the other hand the games where Curry scores 30 and the Warriors roll over their opponents are legion.

no current player has more playoff success than Lebron.

Which he would be expected to given the number of extra years he's had in the league in comparison to his main competition and his propensity to drop teams after mortgaging their futures and not staying around for the rebuild.

More successful leading a weak team in the Western Conference and a better so-called floor raiser.
You can look at other comparable instances in their careers too and find Curry having more success.
Turning around a perennial losing franchise? Curry did it in less time.
Dominating with top player as a teammate? Curry's team will be more notable.

Coming up with excuses for the rest of the league huh? Durant and Curry are the only other top players to win multiple titles, and we expected them to win the ones they played together.

Well he did a better job of that than LeBron did with Wade.

they both won 2 titles and Durant played at a much higher level than Wade did in the title runs.... Sure Lebron messed up in 2011, but that was due to him being passive and not dominating enough, the opposite of what you were suggesting

Greatest team of all-time: the Warriors or the Heatles?
Curry did better.
There is dominating the ball and then there is really dominating. We saw LeBron fill up all the box score stats and Kyrie perform as a top 10 finals all-time scorer—yet they still did not dominate the 2016 series. In case you want an idea of what real domination looks like please refer to what Curry and KD did in 2017.

Warriors are the better team because they had way more talent then the rest of the league, even more than the Heatles

This overwhelming talent proved itself when? It's a rather odd conclusion when the roster Curry had in the finals the first time had never been there before while among LeBron's teammates were arguably the second and third best players in their conference who were multiple time all-stars with a previous championship won without him.
