[Haynes] Lakers expected to go with a starting lineup of Russell Westbrook, Kent Bazemore, LeBron James, Anthony Davis and DeAndre Jordan in tonight’s season-opener against the Warriors, league sources tell @YahooSports.

Not surprised considering we have no depth rn

Bench of Rondo, Nunn, Monk, Melo, Dwight

Super small 1-3

Maybe Reeves, Avery, or Sekou?

Man we need a 3/4 or 4/5, even when healthier

Man I hope Nunn starts to impress this year because

Patty Mills is 5/5 from 3 rn....

Excited for tonight, just wish we were healthier

Monk is good to go but Nunn is GTD

Ofc no THT, Ariza, or Wayne

I don't think the non-guaranteed deals are due to penny pinching. They obviously want to keep roster flexibility for buy outs, because there could be some significant players becoming available, whether it is Love or John Wall or some other veteran who wants out.

It would be the most Lakers thing in the world to overlook specialists that know their role and can fit in seamlessly (helping the team win) in favor of some washed up name.

Are we talking about Avery Bradley here? I'd be surprised if he even lasts a month.

That is a general comment.

I would have started AD at the 5 if only against the warriors. Westbrok will probably look poor driving into Draymond and Ezeli from the start. It's like it still hasn't dawned on everyone involved that Westbrook is one of the least adaptable stars.

The more I think about it, the more I like that lineup.

Big is the Lakers way.

Now they need to get it to work.

What about Monk?

This Russ experiment is interesting right now, but hard to tell w/o AD at the 5 and having other role guys

LeBron shooting well, moving well on help defense and getting good looks working off ball.

Lakers rim pressure this year is gonna be insane. Team is getting to the rim well despite the awful spacing.

Westbrook just getting in the way. Also, it looks like the Warriors weren’t kidding in preseason about shooting fifty 3-pointers a game.

He's got his flaws, but at the same time not many players can make passes like this in tight spaces. If the Lakers spacing is gonna be bad then you need guys like Westbrook who can still make plays in tight spaces.

The way fans convince themselves this time will be different again and again with Westbrook/Melo is funny.
