Props to Draftexpress for being right, Ingram > Simmons, I know it's late but it has to be acknowledged.

Re: Ben Simmons Trade Thread Part 6
I don’t know how people are blaming Morey. Take the Pacers deals we are in the same spot, don’t take it we are in the same spot.
He went into it with Horford and Richardson let alone Ben and Harris and less than ideal assets league wide and he came out of it better than evens with Curry ffs. He tried to trade Ben but got leveraged by an idiot owner.
Put the blame on the owners, fish rots from the head down. You aren’t winning anything with Doc as coach who blundered the whole series once you watch it back and Harris’s contract anyway.
Why hire a coach that lost his players literally the season before and severely underperformed relative to expectation with two great premier two way players it’s asinine.
Incredibly dumb on the mic too let’s not forget lol
There’s a very good reason Brown ran DHO over and over again. And then put the ball into Butlers hands afterwards.
With have half a bullet in the gun to play with that’s it.
Got to think logically here.

I think Harris should capitalize on this.
Maybe make a half court competition shot making competiton where you get to win Bens salary and every game he sits out the pot gets bigger until someone makes the shot and then it resets.

Re: Ben Simmons Trade Thread Part 6
Barkley just asked Silver to comment on the Simmons situation. Silver basically says the CBA outlines what can and cannot be done. He also says everyone has an interest, players included, in players honoring their contracts.
"I don’t wanna be Jordan, I don’t wanna be Magic, I don’t wanna be Bird or Isiah. I don’t wanna be any of those guys. When my career’s over, I''m gonna look in the mirror and say I did it my way.”- Allen Iverson

Ben never has been mr rah rah and was at the back of a big ass group.

Fair point, but:
Trade Ben for Brogdon, Caris, and first in July, we have them in camp and are ready to go with our new look team.
On the other hand, is that really a deal you needed to jump at? Not really.
The argument that the offers from July won’t get much worse is fair. I just thought they wouldn’t get better by bringing back a sulking player who’s game was in shambles last May.
I’m was fine with either decision, but I would’ve taken the best offer back in July.

Well, I think Jo's comments all but cements this whole ordeal. Ben won't be taking the Zach Ertz route with this. It's over. Props to Ertz by the way. The man wanted a trade, whined about it, manned up and said "ok...my bad, i'm here to do whatever you need of me until I do get traded" and then boom....He finds a new home with the Cardinals. That's ALL Ben had to do.

I wanted us to draft Kennedy Winston really bad! Thought he was a can't miss star! Also Dee Brown from Illinois, and Salim Stoudamire.

How would it be the same that you coming into the season with Brogdon and Levert Vs Ben Simmons who doesn't even want to show up ?
I know everyone wants to hit that home run in a deal but if nobody bites on it it's your problems not others.

Rodney Carney could have been a 15+ ppg bomber if Mo Cheeks committed to a 25 MPG role for him.

I remember I used to cape hard for a dude called Larry O'Brien? from Louisville.
Swore dude was going to be great and that everyone else was wrong.
Never even sniffed the league IIRC.
thus I was still right and the Big NBA scouts were simply conspiring against me for sure

For those wanting the pacer deal, broaden just signed a extension and can’t be traded this year

Are you sure you didn't conflate him with teammate Francisco Garcia? El Flaco was slept on hard in his NBA career.
