Sure he's having mental issues, but not bad enough to lose money. I mean he could just stay home, without pay.

Ben always had a lot of work to be a top tier star.

And “a lot of work”, is never in Ben’s personality.

He was born and destined to be one of those fake star that plays on losing team padding numbers like a Lamar Odom or Steve Francis.

And I dont know how people did see him as LeBron 2.0, i remember back in draft day people was so angry when he was just compared to Draymond Green
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Embiid ain't going to let this drag on. At some point he will tell Morey to sort this out so he doesn't waste a season.

Trading Simmons now doesnt make sense. What he is doing should have been expected. If the team thought they couldnt handle it they should have traded him already.

If they are waiting for a star to ask out, as i think they do, then they should have known that it would take some time and that they would have to deal with Simmons antics. If anything, trading Simmons now for whatever they can get would tell me that the guys in the FO are not good at their jobs.

Holy crap man! If he ACTUALLY pulls the mental health Uno card I'm gonna explode with anger.

How the f is this Morey fault. All this **** is one persons problem and that is Simmons.

I for one am glad we have Morey. Lesser GM's would have just caved got a garbage return and Simmons would be popping the champagne with Rich Paul while the Sixers would be f'ed for the forseeable future.

As far as I'm concerned if the returns are as trash as reported we lose nothing really by waiting and either forcing Simmons to come back, not pay him, or maybe a better opportunity presents itself

Hard to project what Simmons did. He always had the innate talent but hasn't put the work in. I don't think anyone expected him to sort of be in a similar spot he was his rookie.

I’m starting to think nothing good at all has been offered

If by good, you mean an All-Star level player? Agreed, I also don’t believe that has been offered.

But there is enough smoke to think that Minnesota offered their scrubs and at least 2 1sts and 2 swaps. Also SA has made an offer, and while they don’t have anything sexy they do have some solid vets and some intriguing youngsters.

IMO Morey has just been too focused on Dame, and secondarily Beal.

I wonder how long the players are willing to put up with the circus before they all start pushing back on management.

Hope so. Need some common sense in this situation. Simmons and Morey both appear pretty deluded at the moment.

Get a player that fits Embiid and move on.

Neither the Sixers nor Simmons want Ben here and that’s been clear for months

Morey’s job is to manage the roster and he’s fkd it up

It really is that simple

On the other hand he could have swaped Ben with Kyrie, which would (even before latest Kyries brainfart) be a greater net positive for Nets that need defense. Imagine that spoiled bag of goods ...

Obviously Morey has missed his chance to trade Ben for the best offer. I supposed they should be around during draft days. As of right now even though many of u guys still dreaming of the return of star players the truth is Morey has no leverage on any negotiation anymore. It's just like u are in a game have no chance to win but as long as u refuse to surrender then u can't be called a loser ... just yet ...

CJ +those 1sts should still be on the table,

dare say if Morey wants them unprotected still he'll have to chuck in maxey/thybulle

Alright seems like he’s destined to be a Sixer now.

I don't see how that Minny package makes the team much better than they already are without Simmons. If all the best offer does is lock the team into like a low level playoff team that may make the 2nd round against the right matchup they may as well wait (which has been the issue for months).

Watched a little bit of both games last night. You have to appreciate how Golden State and Milwaukee have finely crafted their teams around their respective superstars. That's what we should have been doing for Joel but have falsely been catering to a child instead.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards
Watford/Barlow/Walker
Embiid/Drummond/Bona/Broome

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
