at 6:52 mark you can see how much gravity he had by just being force of nature. Literally 4 men were leaving their assigment to push him out of paint.

Man I hate what he did to the Magic, but how quickly some of you forgot how dominate Dwight was in Orlando! Watching this brings back good memories! Even though he F'd us, I think he shold definitely have his jersey retired here.

Effort can only get you so far. And effort wanes when losses pile up.

I don't see any scenario where this team is anything but bottom 5 offensively, and while I think they have the *possibility* of being a little better than that defensively, almost all young teams end up struggling defensively because it's just tough to maintain effort when you aren't winning.

This is not about effort here. You're thinking of previous years teams lead by a group of plateau talented vets who were maxed out and tapped out to be all that they could be. Effort became an issue because they gave their all and it still wasn't enough.

The present team will be driven by HUNGER. We have a young energetic eager to please team lead by an enthusiastic coach who concentrates on development and having fun. Losing won't get them down because that does not kill the mood because the main goals are individual and team growth. That focus on growth, new roles, new leaders, creating a new Magic identity and even trying to earn new contracts will drive hunger. Issues with effort stem from vets comfortable with their roles and their money.

How are we going to score and make 3s?

Can't be any worse than the last 10 years. Haven't we consistently been around 25-30th worst?

We have all the makings of a good defensive team. When Isaac gets back, then we'll have the makings of a great defensive team.

We also have A LOT of versatile pieces so we can adjust or create mismatches.

Mosley preaches passing and we have a lot of players who are not adverse to it, so if that translates, then we'll create easy open looks.

We have the legs to run with any team.

We will probably have hot and cold shooting nights until roles are established and guys start fitting in and getting better. Understanding how to play with each other, etc.

This fanbase is hurt and down trodden. Doubt comes with the territory. I get it. However I haven't been this excited for a Magic season in a long time.

95% of this forum was shocked when Chuma stormed out of the gates after the trade deadline. I can see the same thing happening with some other players this year.

And Jalen Suggs is the real deal. We're gonna shock people.

A few examples:

The Bacon line made no sense. Bacon played so much because he had to due to our injuries.

Saying Okeke lacks athletic pop is just inaccurate.

I don't know if Hollinger watches the Magic or not, but I don't see why these are exceptions.

Bacon never had to play, yet he always did, even before the injuries. He played in every game. Clifford inexplicably gave him minutes in Charlotte as well.

Okeke isn't a good athlete. He can get up off the ground, but he has to load up and it's on straight-line stuff after attacking a closeout. He is a passable athlete for a wing, but nothing more. I like him, but his athleticism is a limiting factor on his upside.
