I miss the good ol days when each GT would be 100 pages long.

Just wait 'til we rack up a couple of wins and the bandwagoners hop on

Haven't posted in a while but I'm ready for tonight's game. Haven't been this hyped for a season since the DRose era.

whitehops wrote:pistons fan here! obviously everyone is super hyped for the season opener and i'm glad we're playing your team first (twice this week!). you guys had a lot of changes to your roster and i like your chances to come third in the east (behind MIL and BKN, no offense).

i just want to say not to overreact to your team's defense tomorrow. cade hasn't been ruled out yet but i think it's pretty obvious he isn't playing and our offense is terrible with hayes trying to run the show. i'm expecting you guys to win but hopefully it's an entertaining game with no injuries!

Thanks for stopping by! I love Cade's game, and Hayes was 2nd on my board last year, so I'm hoping he has an awesome season and prove me (somewhat) right

I need Lonzo, Lavine, and Pwill to light up the scoreboard to make some money. Let's go Bulls. Killian Hayes is a nobody. Attack him nonstop.

Very excited for the game tonight and to talk actual Bulls basketball with you all again. Not usually much of a game thread poster but I'll see you all in the post-game thread.

I've got us as the 6th seed in what I think will be a very competitive Eastern Conference this year. Excited to see a Bulls team that isn't out of the game by the 4th quarter and out of the running by March.

I know we have a lot of skill players, but I'm hoping for some passion and aggression too in what I hope is more competitive games in a more competitive season.

I think the ability to overhaul the roster is tottaly underrated. They got rid of the headaches, the developing, and the promising, and filled their roster with custom picked, vetted and scrutinized players. Every single player is hand picked for their strengths and weaknesses, we have expertly picked role players and bench players with upside. It will be talked about years from now, it's a GMs dream to come in and reinvent the franchise.

If the Defense can play as we saw and the offense let the shots mostly "come to them" I think it works.
Hopefully we come ready and don't get our pants pulled down on opening night like the Lakers

I really like the Pistons young core. Not so much that I don't want to see them get demolished tonight- but I'm curious to see if those young pieces blossom into anything of substance.

Yeah! me too...Crazy days! Nowadays if we can reach 10 pages for a game thread I would consider it a good day. I believe that the team sucked for such a long time and the reddits and twitters of the world took the other chunk out of the board...sad...good memories though.

Were the Lakers considered the favorite going into the game? I was pretty confident the Warriors would win, given the injuries LA is already dealing with and their assemblage of old vets who likely don't care about October games.

Likewise, I think our roster is excited and will bring energy to the first game that counts and Detroit's guys are likely not thrilled to start a tanking year. :dontknow:

I'm surprised we haven't seen an influx of Ball brother stans now that we have Zo. I wouldn't be surprised if they show up eventually.

Zach has never won four in a row in the NBA. Let's put that to bed starting tonight. Come out with a lot of energy and our defense will feed our offense, and blow out these guys. Let's go!

From what I saw Lebron and the rest of that squad wanted to win BADLY. They just got outplayed. If Klay Thompson is anything close to pre-injury the Warriors are gonna be VERY good.

They went all out and got an otherwordly shooting night from Lebron. And they still came up short. Their defense is atrocious.

I'll go ahead and make a sig bet that Mikal is better by RPM this year than Zach.

New York is going to be some knock down drag out fights I feel. One that is how Thibs teams generally play, and we are trying to prove something against the "old" Bulls regime. Plus we are likely going to be fighting for similar seeding position this season. NYK "might" be better this year if Kemba works out. They also might fall off a cliff. They will for sure be fun games. I feel confident we can wipe the floor with Detroit and Cleveland though for sure. We are that much better this year.

I think I recall seeing a blurb about how hard the Knicks were playing in the preseason... I remember something about Julius Randle diving for a loose ball at the end of a preseason game. With the history that Thibs/DRose/Taj all have with the team/city and Joakim being in the house on Oct. 28th, the energy in the United Center for this game should be interesting. I already have my tickets so I am ready.

We should beat the Pistons tomorrow.

Umm, Julius Randle hit a buzzer beater to beat the Wizards.

A buzzer beater. In pre-season.

That means Thibs played him ALL the way until the end of the game!

Wow. Friggin Thibs man... the man only knows one way.
