Kings/Thunder Bagley comes to OKC
OKC gets Bagley and Portland 2024 and 2025 2nds
Kings get Deck and OKC 2022 2nd
Why for OKC? - OKC takes a flier on Bagley who could obviously use a change of scenery. They don’t really have a center on the roster. Bagley represents a buy low option that could be something. As far as the second, OKC already has 3 likely firsts this year (their own pick, clips pick, and Suns pick). Those Portland picks might be nothing, but if Dame leaves, they could be something.
Why for Kings? - They move on from a toxic situation, get a vet on Deck who has shown a few flashes, and get what will likely be pick 31-33 in this years draft.

That’s awful value for Bagley. Kings should not and would not accept that offer.

So what value would you expect for a guy who isn’t even slated to play for the Kings this year and who through his agent expressed his frustrations? I can’t imagine Bagley has ANY positive value at this point, but I’d be open to hearing your explanation rather than just saying it’s awful

I'd rather just hold Bagley for now. Let him earn himself some minutes, and if a decent offer comes along... take it.

I don't understand the whole Bagley benching drama, but Deck does not even seem like a replacement level player, the Kings shouldn't be including any picks in this swap at all.

Decks inclusion in the deal was roster spot related primarily.

Simplify the deal further . Don’t need have so many moving picks . This basically seems like kings are paying for deck instead of OKC paying for bagley.

I think people are missing that the Kings are getting back pick in the low 30's next year for 2 future picks likely in the 40's. So they are getting pick incentive and money incentive both here.
I have this as pretty rough for OKC.

It is my understanding that Deck’s deal doesn’t become guaranteed for this season until January 7th.

Thought it’d be obvious why it’s awful. But here’s the explanation.
1. In terms of production and talent, Deck is nowhere near the level of player Bagley is. And he certainly doesn’t have the ceiling that Bagley has. Also Deck is 26, while Bagley is 22. Bagley is the better player.
2. 2 POR second round picks in 2024 and 2025 could potentially be great picks depending on if The Blazers blow up that team and if high school players become available to draft again, deeper drafts. So those 2 picks could potentially be better than the 1 pick OKC is offering which may be around 40 overall (there’s a number of teams worse than OKC this season). I value the 2 POR SRP higher than the 1 OKC SRP.
So in recap I view Bagley the superior player and the 2 POR SRP higher value than 1 OKC SRP.
That is why I view this is an awful trade for SAC.

Ignore Deck he doesn’t factor here he’s ung, OKC could just cut him but he’s not a terrible vet to have. The OKc 2nd will be 31-35. It’s the most valuable piece here. Bagley is at best neutral, probably negative. The POR 2nds are unknown but also into the future, collectively they might be more valuable than the OKC 2nd, but meh from me.

Given it’s a future pick , kings fans can always try to spin an upside trade for OKC whereby the future pick is worth more than a pick between 31-35.
As OKC have a lot of pick just try to find a pick between 35-45 and trade it for Bagley if Presti really wants the tryout
