Johnson was supposed to be the next Keith Van Horn.

That starting line up is disappointing. This is already getting started on the wrong foot. If the kid is going to play some minutes the most important ones were going to be the first ones for symbolic reasons. All this does is sew doubt going back to the 2nd preseason game where this all started. It lacks conviction and a belief you drafted the right guy. Once you show a lack of faith in a player he begins to lack that same faith in himself.

I really don't think it's lack of faith though. If he had not missed practices/last preseason game he would be starting, imo. We'll see but he'll be fine and will be starting soon. The front office could barely contain how happy they were to give him the keys.

I am still confused on how one of the worst teams in the league still refuses to start their top 5 pick. It's been like this for years.

They are gradually ramping up his minutes after his illness.

I get the minute restriction, but damn I’m already annoyed that Suggs isn’t starting.

I'd bet he'll be starting within the first 5 games.

I’m in the arena now.

Becky Hammond just went to the locker room but gave Weltman a fist bump on the way out.

Good to see they are seemingly professional good terms after the job search didn’t go her way.

Meh. For a competitor like Suggs? This just motivates him.
