Cade or Jalen Green will probably win ROY; NBA loves rookies that can light it up every night and be on ESPN highlights. Barnes is probably going to be a top end utility player his first few seasons (not a knock on him at all).

Yeah, counting stats still get it done in the ROY race. Will be interesting if Scottie is a regular starter after Pascal is back and we make the playoffs. Could be the year that team performance plays a role.

Man. This kid reads the game so well.

Some guys get those empty stats. Barnes is making his other 4 guys better out there.

Those assist numbers in pre-season were not by chance.

Suggs was terrible in his debut.

10/1/1 on 3-14 shooting, -13.

So far, it's looking like I was totally wrong about him.

He hasn't looked good since Summer league, and we know SL is glorified pick up ball. I still think he'll be okay, but my initial expectations for him have changed.

Weirdest thing about Suggs is that he was projected to be the most NBA ready (more than Green, Mobley, Barnes, Giddey) and supposedly had the higher floor but lower ceiling. Is his floor lower than what was expected?

I’m beginning to think he’s another Marcus Smart which isn’t bad by any means, but certainly not the star guard you want that high in the draft. Still lots of time to get on track though

In his defense, Suggs was coming back after being sick since last week. The Magic need to let him run the point, and maybe trade Anthony. Suggs needs the ball in his hands, and I do not like the fit with him and Anthony in the backcourt. One bad game after battling an illness, should not determine things.

I feel the opposite, I think he's more of a combo guard like Haliburton rather than a legit PG.

Now is probably not the time to brag about how Scottie is so much better than Suggs when he's coming off a 1 assist, 6 turnover, 13 points on 12 shots performance in his first NBA game where the team barely broke 80 points.

It was clear that Mobley was the number 1 pick from a talent/physical tools perspective. I firmly believe he was number 1 on the Raptors board.

Assists are dictated by guys making shots he made 4-5 passes that should've been assists. Also he had an And 1 taken away from him also a couple of rebounds that wasn't awarded. Also 3 blocks that were called fouls. He should've had a 15p/6as/11rb/1st/3bl game, refs gave him a hard time and did not respect him.
