PJ can go to the west coast and decide if he wants to be a player or be played with. Kings would probably want a pick but maybe it’s second rounders.

I'd love it tbh...only 22 as well sheeeeeeesh. He has pretty solid stats his first three years as well.

I think Exum would be very similar to Cody M. His biggest plus is probably his defense, Utah we’re using him to defend Houston in the play offs one year and he did well. His shooting and passing is similar to Cody, ok but not great

According to trade machine the numbers don’t work and is quite difficult to match

PJ for Mo Bamba?

Orlando for whatever reason has three centers (WCJ, Mo & Robin Lopez) and they just resigned WCJ and didn't extend Mo. We'd have to throw in like Nick Richards or something to make the numbers work

Washington is another team that has three centers on their roster (Harrell, Gafford, Bryant) when Bryant comes back in December. I wouldn't mind having any one of those three players

Bagley could be had for peanuts. Kings aren't going to play him at all.

How good would this team be with a starting quality big man like Sabonis or Allen? I don't know, but I'd really like to find out.

In a heartbeat. Have been high on Bamba for quite some time.

Have a go at the trade machine, it’s a prick to get salaries to match, you’d have to include oubre or something

He did start and get 4 blocks today, so maybe they are starting to value him

And 3/4 from 3. I get a sense that at this point, we might even be shown the door with a PJ for Mo offer.

Oubre, Carey, and the Pelicans pick for Jarrett Allen later this season when Oubre/Allen are eligible to be traded.

LaMelo/Smith
Rozier/Bouknight
Hayward/Martin
Miles/PJ/McDaniels
Allen/Plumlee

I'm just gonna point out that PJ Washington dropped 42 on Bagley last season.

I'm not the biggest PJ fan in the world but he's a lot better than Bagley.

Or PJ and Cody for Lauri
Either way they have 2 many 7 footers and we dont have enough

My opinion is that an above average Center is the only thing preventing these guys from being a Conference Finals(+) team.

Melo is a star, healthy Hayward/Rozier/Ish vet presences, Miles/PJ/Twin in that young but experienced role, with Bouk and the smorgasbord of tall scrawny dudes in the developmental role.

This is why I've never really gotten the argument that the roster is poorly constructed. They have all the major pieces you look for... minus a competent Center... to be a great team, health permitting.

Agreed. The roster is well built. It's missing one final nudge. But because an above average center would cost a core piece, Kupchak has to target guys before they break out. He did this beautifully with Terry Rozier. Forecasting talent poised to break out is one of the hardest feats of scouting.

One fan on the trade board proposed PJ Washington + the Pelicans pick for Jaxson Hayes. I'd do it. The team may have to wait a couple years for Hayes and Kai Jones to emerge but I prefer this route to suffering teams asking for Miles Bridges or James Bouknight for guys like Myles Turner or Christian Wood.

That said, shame on some of you for mocking me for targeting Zach LaVine years ago. He is going to challenge for an NBA scoring title and because of it, the Bulls went all-in on the LaVine window. He will be a handful.

How's Cole Anthony and Deni Avdija working out?

(or the million or so other players you stated as being sure things over the years?)

Absolute no to Bagley, he is a losing team's player

We should have jumped on Mo Bamba when he was in the doghouse, he is only going to get better and look amazing

The Pels are a disaster and I think one of the worst teams in the league without Zion, but they think they are good. Who knows what they are going to do with their players but I doubt they trade Hayes.

Cleveland has 2 centers making half their payroll and they just drafted a third. They are screwed.

I'm baffled as to why this team didn't think Richaun Holmes was worth the money. He destroyed the Blazers last night and we could have used Oubre's money on him. Maybe he really didn't want to leave Sacramento though.

Call me “crazy”, but if you trade Oubre, you might cut our wins down by 15. He’s a really good defender and will impact the team in a lot of ways.

I’d send Washington and Richards for any serviceable Center.

Right now we don’t have any truly horrible contracts on the roster and I would love to keep it that way while getting a decent return at a position needed.

But, unless it’s a no-brainer trade which includes only Washington and Richards…I’d say that we should stay still right now.

Untouchable:

Ball
Bridges
Rozier
Bouknight

Touchable only if a STAR or 2+ All-Star caliber players are returned:

Hayward
Oubre

Touchable:

The remaining players on the roster
