Brown playing for contract and Marks on the low looking at how this team fairs without him. Nash not having set rotations is mostly due to Marks and whatever they spoke about.

Well that's my guess here.

He played F spot for the most part last year. Well him and Joe switched depending on match-up.

Going to speculate here for a second. I think they want to find out what they got in Carter at the beginning. Trade him if things won't work out. I mean this guy didn't see no light in PHX especially during PO. He's a ok third string imo.

The Brooklyn Nets "have taken incoming calls" from rival teams with trade interest on Kyrie Irving, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Wojnarowski's report surfaces in relation to the Philadelphia 76ers' standoff with a trade of Ben Simmons.

"Daryl Morey has called all over the league, talked to teams about star players everywhere to try to find a deal for Ben Simmons," said Wojnarowski. "One team he has not called, I'm told, is the Brooklyn Nets. He has not lobbed a call to Sean Marks about Kyrie Irving.

"Brooklyn, I'm told, has taken incoming calls from teams on Kyrie Irving. They have not themselves made any calls on Kyrie Irving.

Kyrie has had enough time for his research. The team had to fight to the death tonight to win this game while this selfish prick is sitting home.

F*ck Kyrie Irving man.

His research has been done long time ago and decision has been made.

Hello Brooklyn wrote:The big rotation never made sense. Blake is just better as a small ball 5. And having two non shooters in the front court just doesn't work.

KD excels as a 4 in the modern NBA.

I'm fine with starting Carter. But we do need to find minutes for Bruce Brown. So many times we need a punch of energy and he brings it more than anyone else by far.

Overall, great win though.

I think it would be wise to play some of these defenders together as well. Just brown or just carter doesnt help when you switch everything. put 3 of those guys on the floor together and you can get some stops.

it wouldnt kill us to throw 6 minutes at:

Harden + Bembry/Brown/Milsap/Claxton

or

Carter/Bembry/brown/KD/Johnson

the 1 star can get his own shot enough in a 6 minute stretch to keep us aflot offensively and you probably get multiple easy buckets off turnovers.

Carter was an enormous part of the suns last year. in the playoffs your starters play more and the rotation shortens. it is not unlike us with Shamet/Claxton having no playoff role last year.

Carter is our best defender other then maybe claxton. and he shoots threes. Marks specifically targeted him and his is a great fit here. He is our ONLY 3 & D player (unless you count milsap?).

Aldridge looked great last night possibly his best game as a Net. Hell of a comeback and it helps when Philly is out there collapsing.

Got to catch the second half of the game last night. Not gonna lie, wasn't holding out hope for us. It was just the classic "every time we get within 2 or 4 points, they hit back to back 3's". And the officiating seemed to really favor the 6ers.

Tremendous stop with about a minute left by LMA and Harden. Clutch moves by KD and LMA to close things out.

Really wish we were at 100% with Kyrie though. I don't think it's gonna end well with him and the Nets. I still can't believe he's pulling this stunt. While I still admire his philanthropic work, I really lost a lot of respect for the guy over this vaccine nonsense.

Onto the Hornets on Sunday though!

Kyrie has a right to feel the way he does and the Nets are right in their stance as well. I’m disappointed that he’s not here but it is what it is. We should still be good even with KD and Harden.

As great as Aldridge was offensively, I was impressed with his defense on Embiid.

He will be important for matchups like this.
