Too early but my initial impression is that the Hornets may struggle this season compared to last. They seem off but it may just be early season jitters. They did manage to come back again but they have started off pretty bad and pulled it together twice now.

Worth noting that Paul Reed did not play tonight and only played garbage time in game 1. A 6’9 PF/C who weighs 220 and can legit rebound wouldn’t exactly hurt right now.

That game was a **** show for LA, which is a good thing.

Rondo getting a courtside fan ejected after the fan swatted at rondos finger gun towards him was a first. Not sure what the beef between the 2 was. Glad to see LA 0-2

With all due respect, you should probably avoid the thread titled “Around the League 2021-2022” if you are bothered by people posting non-Minnesota related highlights. Alternatively, you could also just enjoy some cool highlights and not turn it into a LaMelo Ball vs. Anthony Edwards pissing contest.

You’re 100% correct about this being the proper thread but I kind of agree with him. Maybe it’s something quite petty like media bias giving him Rookie of the Year over Ant but I utterly despise LaMelo. I couldn’t care less for Ball and openly root for him to fail.

On a different note, how enjoyable is it to watch the Lakers and Philly’s current implosion? Their fans deserve every ounce of misery.

Lakers were a question-mark for me all offseason. Always felt more like a Kobe/Dwight iteration to me. I'm sure they'll recover from this, they've played two good teams. But don't see the high-end upside.

1. Use the trade exemption and give 2 2nd round picks (maybe throw in Knight.)

2. Layman and 2 seconds for Reed and a throw in player.

3. Nowell and a 2nd for Reed.

He is non rotation and will likely get further buried when Simmons eventually moves. Philly getting a high second from Cleveland and a second which could be anywhere from us is a decent value for a converted two way player from last year. Meanwhile, they can flip those two seconds for more value later if they want.
