Have to give Bill Simmons credit for publicly putting LeBron in a top ten players list (closer to 10) a couple weeks back. He took a lot of grief for that

He's been pretty good on his recent nba takes. One of the few in national media still really high on the bucks.

Me and the kids were watching the Lakers and they asked me why I was going for Phoenix.

For the Aussies I described them as the Collingwood of the NBA

4 Eastern Conference teams are 2-0: Bulls, Knicks, Hornets, Wizards. I wouldn't have bet on that happening. The Knicks might be better than I thought.

The East is the new West.
Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

I know it's early and only one game....but it was nice to see Milwaukee beat BKN and PHX to beat LAL since according to most the only reason those two things happened in playoffs was injuries.

I gotta see Khris and Giannis against that heat defense again before I’m super confident, that was giving me 2019 raptor/2020 heat flashbacks.

We were missing half our team & missed a f*Colton of open shots in the first quarter.

It was over after that.

They don't have enough. Jimmy's still looking for a second star and Bam is not that.

I also can't stress enough how big of an impact Jrue and Brook make defensively, as well as spacing on the offensive side of the ball.

Let’s be real, if our top 8 is healthy Miami isn’t beating us. It’ll be tougher than last year but they just don’t have the talent to hang with our squad over 7. Now if one of our top 3 guys is not healthy or out entirely, or we’re missing multiple key rotation guys (Brook, Bobby, Donte, Allen, etc), then they could upset us. But the Bucks at full strength will handle them in a series.

Regular season is whatever, I honestly don’t think the team really gives a **** about the regular season anymore. When they get healthy they’ll win games because of talent, continuity, and experience but it’s not a priority imo.

I agree that the bucks would be favored and is the better team, I’m just saying it’s not only injuries and nothing else between them and repeating like the comment I was replying to said.

The thing about that game that has me watching the heat isn’t the fact that the bucks lost by 40 missing half the team, it’s the fact that they have Giannis completely figured out at this point and have the ability to put strong defenders on Khris and take him out the game too.

That’s how they lost to the heat and raptors the last couple years. It’s going to come down to if our role players can generate enough offense and hit enough shots to cover for Giannis and Khris, it worked last year, not the two series before that.

I like the bucks chance against any team but I don’t think they’re a juggernaut just yet, especially in a playoff setting.

I think some of your observations are correct, but I don’t think they’ve necessarily figured Giannis out. I think Giannis and Khris just had a bad game. They weren’t ready to withstand injuries, and a revenge motivated Heat team that thought it was game 7 of the finals. We’ve seen giannis, and co have stinkers before, just to come back the next meeting, and flip the script. We don’t have to go back very far, like when they were losing to the Nets by almost 50.

With just a dash of Geelong's recruiting with the average age of their stars. ;)

As a non Australian I have to ask. Is it the cursed aspect or the shite owner that's universally loathed by their fan base?

These cross sports comps are fun.

NFL/NBA
Suns are the Vikings, both have been around for 50 years and overall in their franchise history they've actually won at a decent clip but have never won it all and have had some real heartbreaking **** happen to some of their good teams.

Bengals/Clippers, horrible forever but had a little run recently of not horrible.

Wolves/Loins - I think they have about 5 total playoff appearances combined for the whole franchises history

Patriots/Spurs, long run of success and now starting a rebuild

Thankfully our teams don't have owners. Can have a bad president ruining your team but they will at least be replaced eventually.

Heat look good against us (minus 6 rotation guys), then barely score 90 in an OT loss vs Pacers. Lol.

Chicago should be thanking the league for their soft ass schedule the first week of the season.

They came back down to earth after running through a wall for PJ in game 1 against a depleted Bucks team.

The Heat game plan is to play rugby every night and just see if the refs call it.
