His touch is a bit inconsistent right now. He's not as assertive as he could be yet. And he's still trying to figure out where he needs to be on both ends. So it's exciting that he's still managing to be pretty productive in spite of all that. His passing, length, and defensive mobility are what really jump off the screen.

Nice to see Barnes playing really well. I think he has a great chance to win ROY.

it's nice to hear Cavs fans say nice things about another team's player.

ya, as a raptors fan i'm excited about Barnes, but i definitely would take Mobley anyday of the weak
sounds like a broken record, but is widely acknowledged that Raps first choice was Mobley

Is Barnes injured? I saw him bang his hip.

Another solid game for Mobley.

15.7 PPG/8.3 RPG/3.0 APG/2.3 BPG/1.3 SPG/63% TS in his first 3 games. Really stuffing the stat sheet out there. I'm actually mildly surprised by his scoring so far. Thought he would be a lot rougher there to start his career.

Barnes with another solid game

17 points

Mobley and Barnes are really looking like the prizes of this draft.

So far. Really want to see Cade but I’m not going to hold my breath in Casey’s system.

This is about where I have him for the year. Every young rookie has the wall but his ppg for an elite defensive big compared to others in their freshman year actually turns out favorably.

Just comparing freshman seasons of recent highly touted bigs:

Adebayo
Embiid
Towns
Ayton
Davis
Bosh

Mobley for me is upper tier in scoring (behind Ayton), upper tier rim protector (Behind Embiid), top 3 defender overall (Behind Davis/Embiid), by far the number one facilitator in the group, and a middling rebounder.

You can say he’s the most well rounded one coming out overall. It’s funny some improved on weaknesses while at the same time some didn’t progress on their supposed strengths.

He’s very special.

I'll have to pay attention to him. In the preseason game against the Pacers I thought, meh. He was just .... there. Didn't do much, and didn't stand out at all. Obviously any single game in a rookie year can be a stinker but it was a bad first impression. I'll have to keep an eye out.

Mobley is already the best player on the Cavs. He's special.

Mobley is like a new age Tim Duncan. This kid is fundamental.

I was pulling my hair before the draft knowing the raptors were 1 pick short of getting Mobley but Barnes seems to be a nice consolation prize.

I didn't follow the draft so I'm thinking if Mobley was #3, picks one and two must've been **** amazing.

I tuned into a **** Cavs game today, by choice! Kid is going to be an MVP.
