Good game by KP anyway, good attitude.
He can't play the post, it's better take the ball in the paint and shoots over the defender.
THJ deadly for 3, he was in one of that game.

Mavs need an all star forward. Replace DFS or Powell with an all star at that position who can create shots by himself, then Dallas is set.

So you just proved my point thank you : the Clippers adjusted in order to limit Doncic's scoring, not to let him "score all he wants".
If that makes your day better, then sure buddy. Knock yourself out. Remind me to bring some confetti next time around.
Dude you're so toxic.
I just prove you wrong : the Clippers threw their best defenders at Doncic (taking turns in order to stay fresh), double teams, and made constant adjustments throughout the series to limit him. Like I said remember that Zubac and Beverley started the series by playing 20mpg and finished it by almost not playing at all, because of Doncic torching them.
So you're wrong, the Clippers' strategy was the opposite of letting him score, and now you're throwing the childish attacks just to avoid admitting you're wrong.
Like I said, if it makes your day better, take the W.
No need to use 2 paragraphs to explain how I was wrong and how I was this and that. You won the internet today. Congrats.

A lot of people like the James Harden type of game because it's flashy, it lands on a lot of highlight reels, and gets youtube likes. Other than turning CP3 into a spot up shooter, has Harden ball won anything?
One message and already a personal attack ?
This is so toxic.
You can check by yourself, this is game 7 :
Tell me that you too see that primary Doncic defender is Kawhi. And when it's not Kawhi it's Batum, who is arguably even a better defender than PG13. It's true that Kawhi doesn't always guard the best players because he needs energy as the Clippers' best offensive player, but he, PG13, Batum and Morris (all very good wing defenders) took turns defending Doncic.
And you can also see the big number of times they double teamed him.
Oh, and Lue took Beverley and Zubac out of the rotation because Doncic was scoring on them every time but sure the Clippers' strategy was to let Doncic score all he wanted.
So you conveniently pick out the last game in the series. Because clearly teams never adjust and employ the same strategies in games 1 through 7 game in a playoff series. Right.
But that has been the tune all playoffs for 2 years now. Doncic has been doing the same thing for the regular season and the playoffs, Lue has been toying them with Carlisle having to start Boban in a playoff game, and so far has produced the same results. Harden ball doesn't work, until he or Harden himself proves otherwise. I'd be glad to be proven wrong when Harden or Luka win something with the same type of play.
Lue was toying with RC? Clippers were on edge of going down 0:3, but unfortunately RC has taken Luka out, when they were destroying them. Boban was playing, because team couldn't provide any kind of rim protection, because KP was dead meat in that series.

C'mon Bob. Did you really think RC starting Boban in a playoff game was the ace and secret weapon that RC had been hiding all season?
RC was read like an open book. And fortunately for him Indiana had an open coaching job for him.

Not sure how to feel. The question didn't seem like it was loaded. Kidd kind of took it the wrong way, although he has a point that it's early days. Curious to see how it'll be like if the Mavs go on an extended losing streak and looking like crap.

Agreed on him taking it the wrong way, which is bad omen, and agreed on the concern over the long losing streak, this team is streaky, and reliant on Luka, and bad times will definitely come, Kidd needs to be the grown up to instill confidence, having Nico who comes from corporate background and has experience in handling rifts and giving motivation should help.

It wasn't a secret weapon, but it hasn't nothing with Luka. Luka did more than enough to win that series, if Mavs have had just an average D or an average bench. Unfortunately in both cases, they were awful.

I just can't believe that clown is blaming Luka again about the first round exits (last 2 years) of Dallas, when in fact he was the reason why the team was even competitive in the first place!
And talking about that last series against the Clippers? Luka was STILL making shots from his step back 3 in the first three games and yet Dallas was winning 2-0 and the first quarter with double digits lead! And you still blamed Luka? SMH.

His stats look great because teams are giving him the Giannis treatment. Let him score all he wants and shut down everyone else. At some point he'll realize he wont be able to score 70 on his own and will run out of gas by the 4th. Which the clippers have been doing to Luka.
That was the whole point in getting Kyle Lowry in the summer. But he just chose Miami. Basically Luka needs better fitting players around him. THJ, Powell, DFS, KP and Kleber were all taken either before he arrived or before the team actually saw what he was capable of doing. Donnie sat on it thinking he had a few years to burn before Luka was ready to compete. That fat phuck is the reason why the team stagnated for a decade.
Yeah sure, that's exactly what the opposing teams think when they always throw their best defender at Luka and double team him on tons of possessions.
Yeah sure. The same way the Clippers parked Kawhi and Paul George on Dorian Finney Smith to save energy because he just stands in the corner while Luka dances around for a fadeaway step back 35 footer. They've done it for 2 years in a row now. I'm guessing you don't watch a lot of basketball.

Huh? So, you want DFS to have the ball in his hands more and create his shots for his teammates? Hahaha!
You still refused to see it no? The team doesn't have the right personnel to let Luka play off ball! Because no one on this team can create shots for himself ant his teammates! And the opponent's defense don't respect them either!
We're in October 2021 and you still don't get it!

Because you're just a hater now. You refused to see that the current lineup doesn't have the right personnel to let Luka play off ball! But you freakin' refused to see it because you're a Luka hater.

You know where I stand when it comes to the issue of Harden ball. I'm not going to explain myself 50 times nor will I suddenly change my opinion. However, I'm open to changing my views once I'm proven wrong by Harden or Luka that such a style of play can win a ring. It's not hating when those two haven't won anything yet using the same style year in year out. Elon Musk had his haters until he actually did something to shut them up. Like I said, I'm open to changing my views once that happens.

Again, you never give any substantial answer to my post. You keep dragging the same narrative. This team will never win a title, not because of Luka-hero ball but because the team is not good enough!
Now, can this team win a title with this current lineup? Even yourself will not believe that. And you're just trying to evade it and make an excuse in order to make all Luka's fault.
Cuban doesn't deserve Luka. Heck, he doesn't even deserve Dirk.

It's the SAME narrative because they're doing the SAME thing year in year out.
The unpopular opinion is Luka needs to buy into a system of a coach he trusts and not keep winging it every possession. Sure we get great results when he wings it while 4 other players just stand by and watch. The step backs, the up and under buzzee beaters are good for regular season wins but won't get you far in the playoffs. But when you get a coach like Ty Lue who knows how to position guys like Lebron while the ball is moving,(and here comes the important part) and you get a guy like Lebron to buy into what Ty Lue is running, then you have better ball movement. There is no player in the NBA that can wing it 100% and win a ring. Even Jordan had to fall in line under Phil and the triangle and get the others involved. We know Jordan could take anyone in the league 100% of the time at any point in the game. You need to buy into the system at some point. This early into the season, with a coach of his approval, Im hoping he runs some plays that Kidd is calling. It may cost them some games early, but it gets the others involved so they get more weapons for the playoffs. Its just good for the team long term. Luka is signed long term. It's just the euro fans that keep pushing the narrative that Dallas has to win one now or he leaves in 2 years. There is no proof of that happening whatsoever.

Did you really watch last Clippers series? Clippers were dead and buried in first Q of game 3. Luka going in bench, when he was killing them, change the momentum, not Lue. And even after that, just KP playing some D would have been enough.
Luka didn't win anything yet? Of course not, he's 22 years old and he came in lottery team. Jordan couldn't win that early, LeBron couldn't. Prime Jordan or prime LeBron wouldn't have won anything with this Mavs roster. Luka not winning anything that early is not proving anything.
