I believe they were moving the ball around just fine in the first half and the Reason why Seth and Tobi got good shots(if it's not broke why fix it). In the 2nd half it got away from them a bit and everyone begin to try to make home run plays. Ofcourse we need a shot creator but you don't have to be a shotcreator to move the ball around especially when you have a dbl team magnet in Embiid. No one is afraid of Seth and Tobias trying to create shots or Embiid taking jumpshots from the outside all game.

Or even dw westbrook will work with LBJ just give it time lol.

I believe that most of us have moved well past expecting players (and coaches) to be what they clearly aren't, hence the trade and fire threads. The frustrating part is seeing the same thing tried over and over again as if the result will be different this time. The definition of insanity, which is what we might be in even being upset that it wasn't different.

The coach is nothing special and neither are the players. Consequently you have an average team.

Yep, 1st/2nd round exit material all around. Rinse and repeat.

I wouldn’t say they’re average (average is like an 8 seed) but this is why Morey is fine with waiting to trade Ben until they can get a different maker. Maybe it costs them some games but they need to add someone/s that can take them to the next level.

I fully expect them to be a 7 or 8 seed this year. 42-40 or thereabouts.

I think they're better than that without making another move. 45+ wins and a 5-6 seed at worst unless Embiid misses significant time. If they were a borderline playoff team I believe Morey would be pressured to make a Simmons trade sooner than later.

The problem is they're approaching treadmill territory ala the Iggy years - too good to get a lottery pick but not nearly good enough to seriously compete. If they get nothing but role players back for Simmons that status will have been cemented.

Absolutely, The 76ers are still finding their way. They lost the game against a team that was looking to regain their swagger after laying an egg on national TV. Oh and they team has two of the best players in the NBA on it. The 76ers played well, missed some shots that they should have made down the stretch, etc. This team will get better, this season just a matter of time. Also it's only game 2. And really unless there is some crazy injury to a Bucks team or Nets team the 76ers are not winning anything this year. Next season is where the magic happens.
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.

I agree about the emotional advantage Brooklyn had in the game, but the way the game was lost suggests in my opinion that the Sixers haven’t changed at all and are very unlikely to be any better this year than they have been in the recent past, barring a significant trade. It would’ve almost been a better sign if they had been behind the whole game and lost by the same number of points. As it was the game suggested that good teams can simply turn it on at will and completely dominate the Sixers.
