you mean the guy who was deliberately fed false information by the team since they were the Bobcats?

I had forgotten that this picture existed. It's looking better than ever.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

From Yahoo NBA Fantasy:

He (Bridges) is also the second Hornets player in franchise history with at least two 30-point games in his first three appearances of the season, joining former teammate Kemba Walker.

We might have literally drafted two superstars by the time these next 10-12 years are in the books. Ball and Bridges will end up being a classic NBA duo at the rate that they’re improving.

Then you throw in Rozier for the clutch and Hayward for the glue…it doesn’t get much better than that.

Was a heavy doubter of Miles these past 3 years, but love to be proven wrong. Would love to see him put up a 20+ ppg season with good efficiency.

Somebody's likely to break the bank for him this offseason. Hopefully Hayward's acquisition won't cost us Miles like re-signing Batum cost us Kemba, but it's what I expect regardless. Gotta enjoy Miles while we can.

Oh come on, we did not resign Kemba because he was not worth the price he wanted, as proved by his being bought out.
Plus, we got the better player (Terry) for less money.
That's excellent GMing.
We can match any offer on Miles and can go over the cap if we have too. If we are winning, Jordan is going to pay more.
Lastly, the Batum stretch runs out this season and we would suck without Hayward whose contract is entirely fair for his output.
Time to put away the frown and get on the bandwagon dude.

Hayward's contract is fair as long as he's playing. I've never doubted that. It's just the whole "Hayward playing" that's often in question.

I fully expect the team to match any offer for miles in RFA. Miles' agent was probably asking for the max, or very close to it, and Kupchak figured if the price can't really go any higher than the team might as well wait it out and be sure the end of last season wasn't an aberration.

The team shouldn't be financially constrained, I would imagine with Melo on board they're probably bringing in more revenue than they have in years. If they can win 45+ games and make a bit of noise in the playoffs that will be even more true.

At worst they re-sign Miles for the max and pay luxury tax for one season. If MJ's not willing to do that he really should just hang it up. In July 2023 Ish, Oubre and Plumlee all come off the books saving the team $25 million. In July 2024 Hayward's $31 million comes off the books just in time to dump a giant bag of money at Melo's feet.

Kembas current contract is one of the worst in the league currently. Dudes got a ton of heart and can still play but we ran him into the ground. Really unfortunate.

Here's a fun little conspiracy:

Maybe Miles and Co. WERE asking for the max (or close to it) and Mitch said **** it, hit RFA and we'll match the lower, non-bird offer another team can give you.
