Think that was a lot of it too, like, "we could have traded for him at 30 million but we're getting him for 8 million" and it looked really good by comparison.

The problem is that - if we've learned anything from last season (or the last two decades) - the organization won't do anything about it. They will aimlessly try to make it work without properly upgrading the position.

They kind of painted themselves into a corner by milking the homecoming narrative too.

The front office shouldn't hesitate to cut that experiment short imo. Early returns are pretty disastrous. But they will take their time, if they ever address that situation.
